But are we really gaining the right things from this? In current scenario, due to this so called development we are loosing the below (on prioirty) 1. Natural resources 2. Buying power 3. increase in the gap between rich and poor Natural resources: In modern world we need to have the good infrastrucuture, but do we attain it only at the cost of natural resources? Ex - cutting the trees to lay the roads, selling lands for filling the exchequer etc Buying power: True that we are earning more but at the same time rupee is loosing its strength. And buying power is inversly getting proportinate to earnings. Gap between the classes: Then middle class people too could run business. But in modern world due to the greed of rich people like reliance and introduction of malls/super markets, only the richer able to do biz. At this trend it will become a distant dream for poor and midlle class to own/run a biz Are we moving in the right direction in terms of development? What are we giving to our future generations?
