How about CBN giving call to corporates and individuals to donate huge amount of funds and exempt from Tax - and give opportunity to name major areas with respect to their ancestors and family names for years - at least for irrigation projects or Amaravathi infra projects and buildings etc etc ...!

చెన్నైలో ప్రకటించిన కేంద్రమంత్రి నితిన్గడ్కరీచెన్నై, నవంబరు 23 (ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి): గోదావరి నీళ్లు తమిళనాడుకు తీసుకెళ్తామని చెప్పారు కేంద్ర జలవనరులశాఖ మంత్రి నితిన్ గడ్కరీ. ఇందుకోసం గోదావరిని కావేరీ నదితో అనుసంధానిస్తామని చెప్పారు. దక్షిణ భారతదేశంలో నదుల అనుసంధాన కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా చేపట్టే ఈ పథకాన్ని త్వరలోనే ప్రారంభిస్తామని ఆయన తెలిపారు. గురువారం చెన్నైలో విలేఖరులతో మాట్లాడుతూ... తమిళనాడులాంటి దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలు అధికంగా రుతుపవనాలపై ఆధారపడ్డాయని, వర్షాలు కురవకపోతే సాగు, తాగునీటికి కూడా ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురయ్యే పరిస్థితులు నెలకొన్నాయని తెలిపారు. ప్రతి యేడాది గోదావరి నుంచి సుమారు 3 వేల టీఎంసీల నీరు సముద్రంలోకి వృధాగా పోతోందన్నారు.
దీనిపై దృష్టి సారించిన కేంద్రప్రభుత్వం ఈ నీటిని దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలకు తరలించే బృహత్తర పథకాన్ని చేపట్టనుందన్నారు. ఈ పథకంలో గోదావరి నీటిని కృష్ణ -పెన్నా నదుల మీదుగా కావేరికి తరలిస్తామని తెలిపారు. ఈ పథకం తొలివిడతలో భాగంగా గోదావరి నుంచి 300 టీఎంసీల నీటిని పోలవరం డ్యాం మీదుగా నాగార్జునసాగర్ డ్యాంకు, అక్కడి నుంచి కృష్ణా నదికి తరలిస్తామన్నారు. అనంతరం సోమశిల- పెన్నానది మీదుగా కావేరి నదికి తరలిస్తామన్నారు. ఈ పథకం అమలైతే కర్ణాటక, తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రాలు అదనంగా 100 టీఎంసీల నీటిని పొందే అవకాశముందన్నారు. రెండవ దశలో ఇంద్రావతి నది నీటిని నాగార్జుసాగర్ డ్యాంకు, అక్కడి నుంచి సోమశిల మీదుగా కావేరి నదికి (కర్ణాటకతో అనుసంధానం కాకుండా) తరలిస్తామన్నారు.
