Yeah exactly my previous post i said the same, Javier Mascherano was the stand out player having lead a solid defensive performance. I have played soccer for some time now, coaches always tell goal keepers that they never allow a goal from their near post that is a cardinal sin for goalie to do. So goal keepers tendency will always be cover the near post and make a difficult angle at the far post.

Generally what golie's do is try to make the striker get the tightest of angles to score. If he wouldn't come forward the near post would be completely free.
