ఈ సినిమాకు విజయం దక్కకూడదని, విజయ్ దేవరకొండకు పేరు రాకూడదని కొందరు వ్యక్తులు, కొన్ని సోషల్ మీడియా గ్రూప్స్ పనిగట్టుకుని ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నాయి. ఫ్యామిలీ స్టార్ రిలీజ్ కు ముందే సినిమా మీద నెగిటివ్ పోస్టులు చేశారు. ఇవన్నీ ఫ్యామిలీ స్టార్ సినిమా నిర్మాణ సంస్థ శ్రీ వెంకటేశ్వర క్రియేషన్స్ దృష్టికి వచ్చింది. నిర్మాణ సంస్ధ ఇచ్చిన సోషల్ మీడియా స్క్రీన్ షాట్స్, సోషల్ మీడియా గ్రూప్స్, అక్కౌంట్స్ ఇన్ఫర్మేషన్ ఆధారంగా విజయ్ దేవరకొండ పర్సనల్ మేనేజర్ అనురాగ్ పర్వతనేని, విజయ్ దేవరకొండ ఫ్యాన్స్ అసోసియేషన్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ నిషాంత్ కుమార్ కలిసి సైబర్ క్రైమ్ పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు.
ఇంటెన్షనల్ గా కొందరు ఫ్యామిలీ స్టార్ సినిమా మీద చేస్తున్న దుష్ప్రచారం వల్ల సినిమా చూడాలనుకునే ప్రేక్షకులను మిస్ లీడ్ చేస్తున్నారని, దీంతో సినిమా వసూళ్లపై ప్రభావం పడుతోందని కంప్లైంట్ లో పేర్కొన్నారు. వీరి దగ్గర నుంచి కంప్లైంట్, ప్రాథమిక ఆధారాలు తీసుకున్న పోలీసులు కేసు విచారించి నిందితులను పట్టుకుంటామని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. ఫ్యామిలీ స్టార్ విషయంలో కొందరు విజయ్ మీద ద్వేషంతో ఇలా ఆయన సినిమాల మీద నెగిటివ్ సోషల్ మీడియా క్యాంపెయిన్స్ చేస్తున్నారు.
