The function will be presided over by Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who will give away the awards for the years 2005 and 2006 in a glitzy event to be held in the Lal Bahadur Stadium on Novermber 16. It is acquainted that Maheshbabu and Nagarjuna are recipients of the awards for the Best Actor. On the same dais, veteran actor Krishna will be honored with the NTR National award. Political milieu is abundant in cinema nowadays and these three stars are the promoters for the Congress Party. Being the ruling party, they have got in popular actors so as to compete against the star studded Praja Rajyam and Telugu Desam in the coming elections. In view of the same people, it is being said that this Nandi Awards presentation may change its colors as a political saga.
