Sushanth Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Review The theme of the film is comedy yet the narrative was an aged one with a monotonous subject matter. Story The film starts with three chaps on the way to the venue of their buddy Siddhu’s (Allari Naresh) wedding, narrating the love story of the latter comparing it with the Sharukh Khan’s flick Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge showing up a tiny flash back. Obul Reddy (Jayaprakash) and Bhuma Reddy (Vijaya Ranga Raju) are bitter rivals and due to the collision of the duo a senior police official (Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam) gets penalized with demotion. In order to regain his original situation he plots for the union of Obul Reddy and Bhuma Reddy. According to the plan Sailu (Manjari), the daughter of Obul Reddy is supposed to get married to the son of Bhuma Reddy. Followed by certain dramatic sequences the both the parties announce their approval of the marriage that leads to the engagement and at this juncture the protagonist Siddhu sets foot for the cancellation of the marriage with the intention of gaining the hand of Sailu in marriage as both are in love with each other since their college days in Vizag. He somehow gains the confidence of the family members of the family of Obul Reddy and finally wins the chance elope with Sailu. But in the last minute he reveals to Sailu that he is out of the idea of marrying her as he is afraid of her father. He advises Sailu to marry as per the wish of her father. Sailu puts a condition that he should be present in the house until the accomplishment of the marriage. He agrees for the same. Prior to the marriage progression Sailu tries to woo him by all possible means that turn in vain. The rest of the story is all about the matter such that the protagonist’s winning back his lady love. Performances Naresh did total justice to his task. The female lead Manjari is up to the mark and proved herself with caliber. The comedy track of Venumadhav, Venu and Khayyum as the hero’s friends was tolerable. Leaving aside the narrative segment the performance of all the other artists is satisfactory. The main asset for the film is the music. FC Verdict The so called movie is an assortment of various flicks with an outdated subject. So, quite avoidable flick.
