Avunu brother, good comparison.... National Youth Day ani pettinde anduku... youth lo Swami teachings, message and spirit ni inculcate cheyataniki.

mana desam dourbagyam brother, such occassions are not commemorated really the way they deserve...But thanks to Ramakrishna Mission, they are doing their bit. Children's day ani meeku okati gurthu unde untadhi..I dont know how far that so called Big-man contributed to the welfare of children...but still since their party is in power most of the times it gets more attention..To me it would have been more appropriate, had we called that November 14th as Lover's Day rather than as Children's day.. :blink:

:)) Children's day ani pettaru but is there any consequence? They r insulting the image of Nehru by subjecting kids to undernourishment for the past 60 years... the statistics are depressing.

very true brother..valid point mentioned. The irony is that we are a nation who worship all the False heroes and ignore the Real ones..and so these sort of consequences.

Lot of our bros all around got a malaise of thinking..... some government programme should come and help people. Some politician should come and feed children. What a defeatist mentality in some of us. This is a pathetic liberal mindset fed on to, supplied, glorified, inculcated in to the Indian Mindset and brainwashed people in the 20th century and going on.......Becoming weak, timid, dependent,expecting handouts has been the Mantra...... Vivekananda was asking people to be Fearless, Bold,Independent, Self Secured......Courage he was talking in not only in the Salvation Context it applies to everyday life......

How rich you are depending on what you think of your self. It is not the goodies or comforts that make Rich. Obviously 100 years back even the wealthiest people didnt enjoy the modern comforts, what we consider normal now. Come 50 years later lot more poor people will have more amenities than most living now. Relativity.

All people are created equal..... But all are NOT EQUAL. Results and Fruits are not guaranteed. LIFE..... Media tells us otherwise.....to make it gloss over what is Truth. After a while people believe what they hear constantly.....this drumbeat of myths keep and throw people in to false security. They forget to live life the way it is supposed to be..... Nothing is guaranteed...... .

vasu brother..nice to hear your opinions..but I wish to contradict with some of our opinions regarding the performance expectations from the Govt. In the first place I dont understand what Liberal mindset means, I am sorry I am really not familiar with Western nomenclature as far as political terminology is concerned. but its OK...naa pani nenu chestaanu..prabutvam thana pani thaanu cheyyali ani expect cheyyatam, in my view it is holistic thinking...not everyone on earth are gifted with the ability to feed for themselves, fend for themselves..atuvanti valla paksham prabhutvam vahinchaali anukovatam tappemi kaadhu...Infact if I am not wrong..Swami vivekananda cheppindi kooda adhe anukuntunna..Dont preach religion to the poor masses..first feed them..then everything.....valla kalla meedha vallu nilabadaleni prajaneekanni parugu pandhem lo gold medal saadhinchaali ani expect cheyyatam bahusa wishful thinking avuthundemo.....anyhow with the rest of your opinions..I complete agree..

@SrFan,

No one is asking govt to feed children. What we are saying is opposite. Govts since Nehru have kept poor people poor and dependent on govt for everything. They have killed ingenuity and entrepreneurship in the people by adopting socialist, central planning agenda. People don't get malnourished if they can get jobs, afford good food for themselves since childhood, get educated so that they can work and take care of their health. This is essential role of govt in creating environment so that people can take care of themselves. But, what Cong did is made people dependent on govt with subsidies, central planning and state control of all industries.

This is a overarching and global point I was just sharing here. Nothing in specific. Our culture has been inundated with this False Secure Mentality. Mind you I am part and parcel of this culture, upbringing, exposure too.

I know it is very complicated in terms of arguments. It is a paradigm....perspective.....Just to give a snapshot think about the Mindset of your Grandfather or Great Grandfather(if you had association or good fortune while growing up with them)....Most of those generations have that.....I am talking about Life Principles they lived before this Urban,Liberal, Socialistic waves swept our communities and country........ for a brief moment try to put mindset of theirs.....(. Make no mistake I enjoy Cell phones, Nike attires and Finest coffees)..... the bedrock principles of theirs before this modern Utopian philosophy.....

People and children are lot more healthier now than few decades ago. Children are better nourished than 60 or 70 years back. They could be better if we talk relative to Western countries.......This talk of Children Malnourishment, Helping poor people, World peace, Animal cruelty etc....nice stuff to talk about. This is what liberal thinking....help yourself......self sufficient.......Look inside.... Victim mentality is sign of weakness. Fight it, come up......Pursuit for excellence...Everything will be fine.

Lot of younger guys now a days thinking of becoming rich instead of settling for secured jobs. Risk is part of life and this current gen. is better understanding than their previous generations. Good thing.

The Greatest gift from God is Freedom and thinking Free. We just dont know which jewel is covered under which ..... We should not think that a person can not be excellent. His ability is only limited. Every one is valuable. A government or an elitist or political guru or a system can not dictate, who should go which far. It is up to every Spirit to go and get it, how high they can soar.....
