no, there is no confusion. I am not advocating/worried existing delta would loose its share. point I am trying to make is 60 TMC diversion is not possible(with existing capacity and resources). numbers are not adding up. these type of hyped up calculations would leave NS right canal farmers dry in the middle of their crop season. we can not simply add 25 days of pattiseema to the 40 TMC overflow at barrage as they both happen at the same time.

May be, we cannot release to both areas at same time, but it can be done in a switching basis.... NS Right canal’s requirement is around 60-80 TMC....
anyways as folks mentioned it’s better to have a permanent and feasible solution.
Prakasam barrage discharge capacity is close to 17k (krishna east and west delta canals combined). yes, antha oke sari release cheyyalsina pani ledu (west delta starts late), kani enni swtiching/staggered method lo chesukunna pattiseema is not enough for existing delta. why do you think polavaram right canal is designed for 11.5k capacity?

Kommamuru/buckingham canal alone need minimum 6k to reach parchur area. krishna east delta natlu ayipoyi demand taggindi anukunna (from 8k to 3-4k), pattiseema water is barely enough for existing delta throughout its 100 days.
this year maa narumadi endipoyindi (guntur dist) (we are in the middle of the delta), maa attayya valla natu vesina polam (krishn dst) almost dead ayyindi. pulichintala dead storage lo vunna 0.5 TMC ni vadili krishna east delta ni save chesaru.
mabbulni chusi kunda valaka posukune panulu cheste chivariki loss ayyedi janam bad ayyedi govt.

I did not read the article and also @ravindras post fully, but I agree there is not enough water in Munneru & Pattiseema to drivert 60 TMC in to NS right canal. I have mentioned the same many times on this thread.

I would think so. Though main reason for Tata s, parsees in general to move out of Iran was religion (do not want to convert to muslim), they were purely business minded with good values of course. but later over the generations Tata s married in to Muslim, Christian and all sorts. It will be interesting to know whether he is religious person or not.

also addtional flow avilable with chintalapudi lift....and right poalvaram discharge to eluru canal is done at upper point and works almost complete...
even after considering eluru canal diversion+chintalapudi, there is no more than 3-4k available at barrage for this lift.
So, 3k for 100 days + extra 4k for 30 days(munneru) is 35 TMC

already land surveyed and identified and tender called.....contracts get 8%(after august) extra so no one showed up...now they call again and they will bid with 8% extra
phase 1 lo 50 TMC not possible.
that is 7k cusecs for 83 days continuously.

G+7 would be taller than the tower 1, so it can't be.
my guess is both parts of the tower 2 are G+6 of which 2 floors are under ground. above ground it would be same as old tower.
