  1. ekkado theda koduthandi bro. savings energy lo unte profit money ela vosthadi. konchem complex ga undi ee savings logic bro.

I think, most of the consumer energy (normal households) consumption is subsidized. If discoms can reduce the consumption of that type, they can reduce the losses. Discoms charge higher for industrial users (at profit) to compensate for subsidies, transmission losses and theft.

  2. Swas brother, you got me totally wrong. I was not questioning the validity/use of Pattiseema. Rather, I mentioned it as a reference to refute the premise that we need to build 300 TMC capacity reservoir in west godavari as per option 1 mentioned in Eenadu. Your explanation is actually supporting my point. I also took Mallana Sagar as reference to estimate the land required to build reservoir of that capacity. I was not criticizing either of them. I was questioning the concept of direct linkage of Godavari - Penna i.e  bypassing Krishna through aqueduct.

Yes, I agree with you on what you said about pattiseema/prakasam barrage.

  3. TFS. This clarifies the question I asked in the other thread about aqueduct.

Option 1: Reservoir for 300 TMC? This is probably a typo. Otherwise why do we need that big reservoir to use 375 TMC. Remember we are planning to use 80 TMC from pattiseema with just 2 TMC storage capacity at prakasam barrage. Is it possible to build man made reservoir of that size ? what about land acquisition issues. Already KCR running in to trouble acquiring 20000 acres for 50 TMC storage at Mallanna Sagar. So this proposed new reservoir would need 120000 acres in west godavari. It is unlikely that it ever gets to build.

  4. Bridges and aquadets completed na??

inko 3 months padutundi ani news vacchindi one month back. How could they complete bridges/aqueducts so soon? Temporary structures could not hold 8400 cusecs right?
