Hero MotoCorp is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, in which it plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore.The plant will have a of capacity of 1.8 million units. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be laying foundation stone for the new facility next month. The automobile firm has three manufacturing facilities -- at Gurgaon and Dharuhera in Haryana and Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The two-wheeler major is setting up two more facilities at Neemrana in Rajasthan and Halol in Gujarat. For the new facility, the state government has allocated around 600 acres of land at Tada in Chittor district, on the border of Chennai, which is one of the largest automotive hubs in the country. Last September, the company signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to allot 600 in Chittoor district to the company. The facility will come close to SriCity, an industrial township. However, land allocation had become a legal issue after a petition was filed by a Chennai-based company claiming that it had obtained interim injunction orders in 2007 from the Court when the state government attempted to procure its lands. According to reports, the petitioner moved the High Court alleging that the AP government has failed to follow the provisions of fair compensation, transparent land acquisition and rehabilitation and resettlement. While a single judge delivered a verdict, a division bench stayed the order, which came as a big relief for Hero MotoCorp from the Hyderabad High Court, which vacated a stay on the construction work and allowed the two-wheeler maker to erect a wall around the 600 acres it was allotted. With these developments, the company has decided to start construction of the factory. While the company did not disclose any numbers till now. Last September, the AP government successfully wooed Hero MotoCorp and the facility will cater both domestic and export markets. Hero MotoCorp proposed to build its sixth facility with a capacity of 1.8 million units with an estimated investment of Rs 3,000 crore. The new facility will take Hero's overall annual capacity of 12 million units.

శ్రీసిటీ పరిశ్రమలకు స్వర్గధామం చంద్రబాబు చిత్తూరు: పరిశ్రమల ఏర్పాటుకు శ్రీసిటీ స్వర్గధామమని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబునాయుడు అన్నారు.పరిశ్రమల ఏర్పాటుకు అన్ని మౌలిక వసతులు ఇక్కడ ఉన్నాయన్నారు. ప్రముఖ చాక్లెట్ల తయారీ సంస్థ క్యాడ్‌బరీ చిత్తూరు జిల్లాలోని శ్రీసిటీలో నెలకొల్పిన చాక్లెట్ల తయారీ ప్లాంట్‌ను చంద్రబాబు ఈరోజు ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ... శ్రీసిటీలో క్యాడ్‌బరీ ప్లాంట్‌ ప్రారంభించడం ఆనందంగా ఉందన్నారు. ఈ సెజ్‌లో ఇప్పటివరకు 86 యూనిట్లు వచ్చాయని... దీంతో 30వేల మంది ఉపాధి పొందుతున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. త్వరలోనే మరో 40 యూనిట్లు శ్రీసిటీకి రాబోతున్నాయని తెలిపారు. క్యాడ్‌బరీతో పాటు హీరో మోటోకార్ప్‌ వంటి అగ్ర సంస్థలు రావడంతో రాష్ట్రం పారిశ్రామికంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుందని చంద్రబాబు ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

ఏపీ కొత్త సచివాలయానికి నామకరణం చేసిన చంద్రబాబు వెలగపూడి: ఏపీ నూతన సచివాలయం సోమవారం తెల్లవారు జామున ప్రారంభం అయింది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ఈ రోజు ఉదయం 4.01 లకు తాత్కాలిక సచివాలయ భవనాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. అనంతరం విశ్వక్సేనపూజ, వాస్తుపూజ, గణపతి హోమం తదితర కార్యక్రమాలను చంద్రబాబు నిర్వహించారు. గుంటూరు జిల్లాలోని వెలగపూడిలో ఎల్ అండ్ టీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో తాత్కాలిక సచివాలయాన్ని నిర్మించారు. ఈ సచివాలయానికి ఏపీ గవర్నమెంట్‌ ట్రాన్సిషనల్‌ హెడ్‌క్వార్టర్స్‌గా సీఎం చంద్రబాబు నామకరణం చేశారు. సీఎం ఆఫీసు కోసం నాలుగో బ్లాక్‌లో రెండు గదులను అధికారులు సిద్ధం చేశారు. సచివాలయ ప్రారంభోత్సవం కార్యక్రమంలో ఏపీ స్పీకర్ కోడెల శివప్రసాద్, డిప్యూటీ స్పీకర్ మండలి బుద్ధప్రసాద్, పలువురు మంత్రులు, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి టక్కర్, సీఆర్‌డీఎ అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

The Capital Region of Andhra Pradesh will very soon boast of its first ever five-star hotel coming up in Guntur City. ITC is launching the hotel ‘My Fortune’ which will come up in an area of 1.5 acres at Vidya Nagar. CM Chandrababu Naidu will be present at the ground-breaking ceremony on 29th of this month. The hotel will have 150 rooms besides three restaurants and all other facilities like swimming pool, bar, gym and conference halls. The 12-storeyed facility would be built at an estimated cost of Rs 150 crore and would be the tallest building in Guntur after the construction is complete. Currently ITC operates My Fortune five star Hotels in Bengaluru and Chennai. The hotel at Guntur would be their third and the first in the AP capital region. The demand for Five Star Hotels increased after the state bifurcation and the announcement of the capital in the region. The construction will be completed within three years and will be declared open either by the end of 2018 or in the first quarter of 2019.
