Sravanlokesh
Mumbai: BCCI selectors announced the Indian squad for 2-Test rubber against Australia at Mohali from October 1 on Monday. Out-of-form and fitness southpaw Yuvraj Singh was the biggest casualty of the draw as he was replaced by a new face in the dressing room - Cheteshwar Pujara. Yuvraj Singh has been battling fitness issues from a long time now and his exit would pave way for Pujara, a constant good performer in the domestic circuit. Senior bowlers Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh also returned to the Indian squad and Suresh Raina too, got a look-in. Temperamental speedster S Sreesanth also made the cut. Zaheer, who was not picked for the Sri Lanka tour in July due to an injury, came in place of Munaf Patel while off-spinner Harbhajan, who missed the third Test in Sri Lanka due to fitness issues, also returned to the fore. Patel and Abhimanyu Mithun were part of the squad in Sri Lanka due to injuries to Zaheer and S Sreesanth. Team MS Dhoni (Capt), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Suresh Raina, S Sreesanth, Cheteshwar Pujara, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, VVS Laxman, Pragyan Ojha, Murali Vijay, Zaheer Khan, Amit Mishra
