Jose Mourinho on Wilfried Bony signing for Man City: ‘It seems the rules are different for them’ [Video]

Jose Mourinho had his bit to say on Manchester City’s controversial signing of Wilfried Bony at his press conference yesterday.

Despite being fined for exceeding the Financial Fairplay rules last summer, City still somehow managed to sign the Ivorian for 28 million pounds in this window, which Mourinho clearly feels shouldn’t have been allowed.

City claim that as their losses have dropped to £23m, they are within their rights to spend exactly this amount in this window.

Mourinho though appears to see it as City again getting away with breaking the rules, as he’s already alluded to over their skulduggery with the Frank Lampard deal.

‘Well done. He is a good player and a good striker. If they have the money and can spend the money and have no problems with Financial Fair Play, well done.

They can only play with 11 though, unless the rules are different and they can play with 12. The rules are different for them in some areas, but not this one.

“If Bony plays and Dzeko is on the bench then I am happy with that. But to have Aguero, Jovetic, Bony and Dzeko is magnificent.”
