Rama Rao, has selected eminent Kannada writer Santeshivara Linagannaiah Bhyrappa for the NTR National Literary Award this year. The award will be conferred upon Dr. Bhyrappa at Ravindra Bharati here on May 28, NTR's birth anniversary. Speaker K. R. Suresh Reddy will be the chief guest and the function will be presided over by C. Narayana Reddy, Jnanpeeth Awardee and president of Andhra Saraswata Parishad. Another Jnanpeeth Awardee Indira Goswamy will attend the function, according to Dr. Laxmi Parvathi. Two of Dr. Bhyrappa's masterpieces are `Tantu' and `Parva'.
