His first job that had anything to do with directing was assisting chalasani ramesh as an asst. director. Who is chalasani ramesh? A nobody. Why? His first debut film was with Balakrishna in the year 1990. It was a disaster from day 1. So Chalasani ramesh was gone. Srinu was once again back to square one. He left for Hyd, and assisted director sagar along with V.V Vinayak. Slowly.. Ramoji Rao was impressed by him, and bought his 34 Lakh budget film nee kosam, and gave it a grand release.
