Barney Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 ULead s/w DOWNLOAD HERE Virtual dub : DOWNLOAD HERE Installation Procedure : Download the ulead file from the above link(post 1).Unzip it.Double click the setup.exe and complete he installation. Use the key.txt file for registering the software. Steps for Cutting a video : 1. Open virtual dub. 2. Browse for the video and load it. 3. Under video tab select [Full processing Mode]. 4. Select compression option .In the compression window, select Divx codec.Press Ok. 5. Using [Mark In] & [Mark Out] buttons Split your video file.(Keep the video duration to max 9-10 secs). 6. Press [F7] key to save the file in .avi format. Making gif from the video file : 1. Open the video file. 2. Check the nof frames.Try to limit the frames to 30 or 40..not more than that.Delete the unneccessry frames. 3. After deleting the frames, crop the video and retain only the selected part of the frames.Cropping a single frame automatically applies to all the remaining frames. 4. Check the size of the image(Resolution) ..limit it to 150 * 130 At max.(Depends on the kind of gif) 5. Click on the optimize tab and check the file size.It should not be more than 400KB.If its more than that try to delete some more unneccesary frames. 6. After finishing all this editing part, the last step should be watermarking your gif. 2ND METHOD to make GIF 1. open the video in KM player . keep screen size minimum (like 320*170... )2. To take snapshots press Ctrl+Alt+A ... (for making GIF keep pressing Ctrl+Alt+A ) 3. Copy all the snapshots which you want to make GIF into a seperate folder 4. open adobe photoshop CS3 5. FILE---->scripts-----> LOAD FILES INTO STACK 6. select option "FOLDER".....then browse....OK 7.select make frames from layers...then REVERSE FRAMES...then "SELECT ALL FRAMES" .. u can adjust the delay time 8. now crop the image 9. gif is almost done....now FILE---->SAVE FOR WEB 10.adjust the image size and then save 11.if U want to water mark then follow the link http://www.nandamurifans.com/forum/index.php?/topic/122999-gif-making-tutorial/ Watermaking GIF : 1. Go to Frame -> select [ Add Banner Text]. 2. A text tool window opens up.Type something in the text box and try with various font styles & how the text shud appear on the GIF(using Effect tab). 3. Neon tab in the text window adds glossiness to the watermark.You can try out various combination and select the best one. 4. While clicking "OK". You get to choose from 2 options, always select "Create as Banner Text(Recommended)" option so that you can edit it later. 5. Sometimes the watermark doesn't get applied to all the frames, then Select any frame on which watermark is applied...Press [Ctrl]+c and select the frames for which watermark is not applied and press [Ctrl]+v . Click on preview tab and Check the preview, if you are not satisfied make the necessary changes. Saving the GIF: Click on optimize tab and select the save option at bottom right hand corner. Points to Remember : 1. Video from which u wanna make a GIF should be of max 10 secs duration. 2. Final gif size should be less than 450KB. 3. GIF size mainly depends on no: of frames and resolution of gif.WHenever u wanna reduce the GIF size.Try to reduce these 2 parameters.
