Simbu is going to don the role of Cable Raju (originally played by Allu Arjun) and there are also reports that Anushka, who played the role of a sex worker in the original version, is not keen on reprising her role in the remake. Producer R.B. Chowdhary's son Jithan Ramesh is producing the film. Rumours suggests that Tapasee of Jhummandhi Nadham fame may enact Anushka's role in the Tamil version.
