Approximately less than half that money (Rs. 85,000 crore per annum) is the amount needed to ensure food for EVERYONE in India! And what does the UPA Government have to say about this? The top brass mumbles something about "shrinking moral space!" Very touching. Only thing being it is grossly inadequate and smacks of a sheer lack of political will to punish the guilty. This UPA Government has taken corruption to dizzy heights. And their politicians have plumbed pathetic lows that were once the preserve of soulless criminals. And this is the government that our politicians in AP swear their loyalty too. This is the "adhistanam" that they claim they are willing to die for. What can one say, except give in to a sense of utter hopelessness. But then we can't do that, can we? We have bills to pay and we (unlike our politicians) have to work and earn money the honest way.
