Andhra Dada Posted November 23, 2007 Share Posted November 23, 2007 Consecutive blasts in UP courts kill 4 people; several injured At least four people were killed and several others were injured in serial blasts that rocked civil courts in Lucknow, Faizadbad and Varanasi on Friday afternoon. While four people were killed in the Faizabad blast, several people were injured in the Varanasi blast. In the state capital, the blast took place when a bomb kept in a cycle exploded, sources said adding that the Lucknow blast was a low-intensity one. Bomb disposal squads have been pressed into service in the three districts and were conducting extensive searches of court premises, police said. Brij Lal, additional deputy general of police (law and order) told television channels that there were similarities between the Gorakhpur blasts and today's blasts.
