Long haired, with his own form of technique, he promised a lot in domestic cricket smashing the ball to all parts of the ground.. When he played his first ball in ODIs for India, he got run - out for a duck.. 2-3 matches went by and he didn't get much runs.. People started to doubt his ability.. They said that this bloke doesn't carry a proper technique and should be dropped.. Then came the game against Pakistan in Visakhapatnam.. He was promoted to NO. 3 to get some quick runs for India.. And boy...........What he did on that day completely changed people's mindset all over the world.. 148 off 123 balls giving India the victory single - handedly.. That day and today... He is now India's leading captain in all formats.. He is the BEST FINISHER of the world.. He is leading the ICC ODI XI from the last 7 years.. He has given every single ICC trophy to India.. He has proved to be an inspiration for MILLIONS.. He is the owner of the HELICOPTER SHOT.. He is MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI! We call him the CAPTAIN COOL.. Today on 23rd December, 2013 he has completed 9 years in international cricket.. Its been 9 years since he played for the first time..
