Don't travel to Mumbai, says US Consulate

Hyderabad, Nov. 28: Defer travel to Mumbai for two or three days, the US government advised its citizens, following the terror attacks in Mumbai on Wednesday night. In an advisory posted on the US Consulate Chennai website, the citizens presently in India were told to take shelter at their current location and contact their family and friends.

 

American citizens requiring assistance related to Mumbai terror attacks can reach the Department of State Mumbai Task Force on 1-888-407-4747 toll-free line in United States and Canada. Callers from other areas can contact regular toll line 1-202-501-4444.

 

The advisory appealed to Americans to be vigilant about security at all times throughout India.
