Not supporting any side here…but Europe sidelining here will be a mistake for the long term. They are bad with Russia, now they are bad with US…They are already bad among themselves. They don’t go well with most Asian countries. They have huge dependency on trade with the world.
When Europe needed help with Russia-Ukraine war, US helped almost unconditionally (though they have their own benefits), it’s time for them not to isolate. Also, this may be their ONE TIME CHANCE TO CLEAN THEIR STREETS INTERNALLY(ifkyk).
Overall, EU is looking for a short term escape rather than a long term solution in my opinion.
Again, supporting US or not supporting US is a different topic, but EU is not benefiting by sitting idol.
