This standing Nandi from Amaravati (AP) belonging to 2nd Century AD, now housed in Amaravati Museum, is one of a kind. It was discovered in 1982. This monolithic, ornamented Nandi is believed to the first prototype in South India.

Unusually, it is depicted in a standing position pic.twitter.com/pL5NJkMRAq
