age doesn't matter treatment matters. if he get injection within 1 hour recovery will be 100% . recovery scope/percentage decreases as treatment gets delayed.

As far as i know....this guy has got bleed/hemorrhage (ICH).

Brain stroke basically 2 types -

  1. Ischemic stroke (blood vessel clot,....that part of brain dies slowly with time d/t shutdown of blood supply).....

    1a.---- this is wat can be treated with injection as u were saying...but injection golden hours is 4.5Hrs...recent guidelines extend it upto 9-24hrs for selected patients...

    1b.---- more importantly other than injection even more definitive effective treatment is MECHANICAL THROMBECTOMY- upto 24 hrs (MT - is a revolution in stroke management..came into practice since 10yrs)- clot can be removed mechanically using stents/aspiration catheters via endovascular route in cath lab...something similar to heart attack patient stenting type, but in brain. This is the standard of care today....irrespective of injection this has to be done becoz with injection recanalisation rates are about 40%, while recanalisation rates with MT are 90-95%. Offcourse benefit is time-dependent and earlier the vessel is opened,higher the benefit/recovery.

  2. Hemorrhage/ICH (blood vessel rupture and blood leak) - deniki treatment opposite....BP control etc.
