Yes it should  last  for 4-5 yrs but there should be minimum maintenance work. If there is any  small damage it should be patched asap or else it will cause more damage....as a result we are seeing now .

road lifespan chaalaa factors meedha depend ayyi vuntaadhi. soil type, soil load bearing capacity, road quality, heavy vehicles , rain water bayataki poye chance vundhaa ledhaa ,  chaalaa factors vuntaayi. tar road meedha water niluva vunte tar life thaggipothaadhi. road lo gothulu padathaayi. entha quality gaa vesinaa minor problems vasthaayi . regualr gaa potholes poodchaali, poodchakapothe rain water stagnate avuthundhi. potholes peddhavi avuthaayi.

ee government basic maintenance cheyyadam ledhu. irrigation projects lo gates ki grease pettadam ledhu. annamayya dam lo gate issue valla dam  kottukupoyi konni villages kottukupoyaayi.

meeru vesina question jaffas vesthunnaaru.  cbn quality gaa road vesthe ippudu roads ilaa vundevi kaaadhu kadhaa ani aduguthunnaaru. anduke konthamandhi react ayyaaru.

2004 - 14 ap congress government lo roads veyyaledhu. patch works chesaaru. cbn vachaaka roads meedha kotha layer vesaadu. ippudu jagga patch work koodaa cheyyadam ledhu.

just a question...is the present govt fully responsible for this?

are the roads not built to be sustainable for 10 15 yrs?

Nope. Every road needs maintenance once every two years despite laying well. Hyderabad ORR , fresh tar tho estaru every 6 months

Considering all of these variables in play, it should come as no surprise that the cost to maintain a mile of road can vary from as little as $782 per year (federally-maintained high-clearance roads) to $208,736 per year (New Jersey State Highways)
