What’s great in that picture?

Forget about popular temples, even small temples in south India look like this or may be better.

If u see before pics, u will understand its importance or ask ur elders who visited Kashi

They might look better but don't have the same significance so why bother comparing

Please post the pics before and after. What’s new here now? Lights or building?

Main reason is entrance bro, mundu velladaniki many would have had to take old entrance which is gnavapi which is built on destroyed old remains of original temple.

Many of temples in North are affected by riders, ikkada only pagalagottaru, akkada complete ga nelamattam chesi vaati paina valla buildings kattesaru, even in many places of andhra and TG where nijam ruled you can see similar things, but extreme south like TN and parts of vijayanagaram empire did not had much loss due to that, raiders vachina it was for few years, after that malli Konni Hindu rajyalu vachi rebuild chesukunnaru .......That's main reason of pathetic nature of North temples.

Veyyikalla mandapam kottesadu ani ippatiki antunnaru.

Kottha development ki ekkadaina talakaya noppe, but never kashi issue can be compared with Tirumala.

In the past there was no straight way from Ganga river to the main Kasi Temple. You had to go through small, busy crooked streets to reach the temple from Ganga.

With this corridor, there will be a somewhat modern and clean straight walk way from the temple to river Ganga. Shown with the blue arrow in the image below.

They did demolish all houses in the way. In that area, almost every house has a temple like setting. They have idols of gods on their outer walls and inside which get prayers and offerings consistently. It's extremely high demand real estate and those families have been staying there since generations.

Inthaki Ganga clean chesada? As he promised? Or ran away like all his other promises?

Ganga clean is a BS operation. As per locals in Kasi, if they close the nearby leather factories, then more than half of the pollution in Ganga will stop.

But that will not happen since they belong to the ruling party.

Simple example, Ganga cleaned itself during Covid first phase lock down when those factories were shut off temporarily.
