Agree with you on this, many have started worshipping him as person which is again against RSS principle of No Vyakthi pooja. That will obviously go off one day, don't worry.

They just did not participate.. they were sided with british, they even joined some of the british ranks.... they did not even accepted indian flag.. there are so many stupid statements made about flag.. they want hindu safron color as national flag (which we see on top of north indian temples).. they were declared as terrorist organization and banned after assasination of Gandhi.. later they begged Nehru to lift the ban..

Any proofs they sided with british?, Can you please mention what ranks did they join? I accept they opposed flag.

Gandhi was lacking in both political wisdom and political strategy...And far from being infallible , committed serious blunders , one after another in pursuit of some utopian ideals and methods, which had no basis in reality...It would be traverse of truth to give him the sole credit for freedom of India, and sheer nonsense to look upon satyagraha ....As the unique weapon by which it was achieved.

I don’t know the role of RSS in Indian freedom movement it is irrelevant for me now , what I know is many big heads in BJP are from RSS background and they don’t seem to follow the true values of RSS which they boast of. They neither have any respect for the constitution nor care for the development of India, all they care is how to stay in power for a very long time.

Do you know Gandhi supported Acts of British against Native Africans during their freedom struggle and worked in Rank of Sargent in British Army,? , This is what he wrote to fellow indians in Indian Opinion on Apr14th 1906
