అత్యాధునిక హంగులతో రాజధాని అమరావతిలో అంతర్జాతీయ క్రికెట్ స్టేడియం రూపొందుతోంది. ఈ క్రికెట్ స్టేడియం భవిష్యత్తులో, అమరావతికి ఒక కలికితురాయి కానుంది. అమరావతి టౌన్-షిప్ లో, ఆంధ్రా క్రికెట్‌ అసోసియేషన్‌ ఆధ్వర్యంలో 22 ఎకరాల్లో స్టేడియం నులు జోరుగా సాగుతున్నాయి.

2000వ సంవత్సరంలో స్టేడియం నిర్మించాలి అని తలిచినా, 2010 వరకు నిర్మాణం ప్రారంభం కాలేదు. అప్పటి నుంచి పనులు నెమ్మదిగా సాగుతున్నాయి. చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి అయిన తరువాత, పనుల్లో వేగం పుంజుకుంది. 2018 నాటికి, పూర్తి చెయ్యాలి అనే సంకల్పంతో పనులు వేగంగా సాగుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పటికే గ్రౌండ్ సిద్ధం అయ్యింది. స్టేడియం గ్యాలరీ, గదులు మొదలగు పనులు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
