Ask bro, For 50TMC Kachara is ready to spend 50,000 crores and 4000 MW(almost 20,000 crores cost) power per year.

With pattiseems we are expecting 80TMC water(Total release from Sagar to delta last year was 14 TMC) with just 100MW power.

Also this project completed with so many hurdles from opposition.

Jaffa was very clear. He wanted to stop this project as this 80 TMC will provide SEEMA chance for more water share in Krishna river.

70% canal was dug and left 9 years back(2007) and it was useless all these years.
Not even SINGLE bridge/Aqueduct was build in that 70% work on canal

In last 1 year we cleared 9 years court case in single sitting for land acquisition.
If we follow news YSRCP tried to go court again after CBN settlement provoking farmers.
Finished 24 lift pumps set up
Finished 5 kilometres underground pipe line work
All Aqueduct's are built in less than SIX months. This is toughest job compared to canal digging
We finished BRIDGES for road crossovers in short time

Now Jaffa wants to stop Polavaram. His new demand is 20 lakhs per acre and 10 lakh per family!!!
Why didn't Jaffa gave 20 lakh per acre for Saraswati cement lands? Why in Vanpic they gave 50,000 r.s per acre but showed 1.5 lakhs in paper

Detailed profile of Krishna Delta

‘Krishna Western Delta (KWD)’ is part of Krishna Delta system under Prakasam barrage at Vijayawada. The delta is one of the oldest irrigation systems in the country. There was a disastrous famine during 1833, which wiped about 40 % of the population in Krishna district. The government under East India Company constructed an anicut and canal system during 1852-55 to irrigate 5.80 lakh acres with an expenditure of Rs 0.772 millions. The anicut proposal was formulated and designed by sir Arthur Cotton and carried out by Captain Charles ORR. The anicut served for about 100 years and a major breach occurred in September 1952.

A new barrage namely Prakasam barrage was constructed during 1952-77 replacing the damaged and breached Krishna anicut. The ayacut under Prakasam barrage is spread over in four districts as detailed below

1. Krishna district                                                679498 acres

2. West Godavari district                                      58000 acres

3. Guntur district                                                 499231 acres

4 Prakasam district                                               72120 acres

Total                                                                1308849 acres

The above delta ayacut in Guntur and Prakasam district is known as ‘Krishna Western Delta’ system. The delta is formed with the hydraulic deposits of the alluvium brought down by floodwaters over the ages. The soils are clay in character and rich in plant nutrients and highly conducive to paddy cultivation. The Krishna water dispute tribunal (Bachawat award) allocated 181.20 TMC of water to Krishna delta system.

The ‘Krishna Western Main Canal’ takes off from the Right Bank of River Krishna near Sitanagaram Warf of Prakasam barrage, runs for a length of 20.80 Kms upto Duggirala and bifurcates into

Bank canal

Nizampatnam canal

East side channel

West side channel and

Commamur canal.

The Commamur canal after traversing for a length of 112.40 Kms ends in Prakasam district.
