All papers saying 10 TMC of water can be stored. Which is correct?

leave the math aside, how can a tank store more water than a barrage? Prakasam barrage is less than 3 TMC. This tank max capacity is most likely 1 TMC.

 1200 acres x 20 feet == 1200x43560x20 ft= 1,045,440,000 cubic ft == 1 TMC

yeah, Dam/barrage across a river is a different story. you can store more water by going vertically. Here it is a tank. no storing upwards, only way is going down by digging deeper. there are Dams that stores much more water in less space. Oroville dam in California stores 150 TMC in 15500 acres.

11th century,Brahmayya Lingam Cheruvu is being resurrected to store 1 TMC water. Spread across 1145 acres near Gannavaram, the lake gradually reduced in size because of silt and encroachments.

Now this lake is being resurrected into a reservoir. The lake is being dug 6 feet deep and all encroachments being removed.
It will be connected to Polavaram Right main canal which will flow with Godavari water from Pattiseema lift. With the scenic mountains and a road planned around the reservoir, this will soon become a tourist destination. #WaterConservation
