Then..why are we allowing those airlines to operate in Delhi, mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad ? 
Only Gannavaram airport passengers money maatrame…Teevravaadula ki donate chesthaaraa? :dream:

Free market lo…companies will be forced to compete to provide best products to consumers.

False patriotism will lead to subpar service, just like what we experience with AirIndia.

This is a nuanced topic. Earlier when AI was under govt. control, it had subpar service and bad airplanes with broken interiors. Tata is trying to fix it, but it will take mid 2025 or end-2025 to fix those issues. Supply chain issues are prevent quick fixes. And, both AI/AIX under Tata's and Indigo want to grow as international airlines. Indian govt. forces all domestic airlines to allocate 10% seats to NE India. This is a big burden on them.

Emirates, Qatar, Etihad  (ME3) are funded by their respective governments. The first one is profitable but the last two may or may not be profitable and their governments pump a lot of money into them. So there is no level playing field. They also have the geographical advantage because longer flights from India to the USA are more expensive to operate due to the weight of extra fuel they have to carry. 

Under Manmohan govt. ME3 got a lot of flying rights into many airports in India. This is not a bad policy per se, because it provides the best experience for the Indian consumer.  At that time trade liberalization was in vogue and our airlines were very small. In return, they offer very little to Indian airlines. Dubai doesn't give our airlines slots in their main airport and only asks them to use their secondary airport. Prime time slots in ME3 airports are all used only by their airlines. Even US airlines complain a lot about ME3. But because the US domestic market is such a big one, for US airlines ME3 market is a small bucket.

Most of the passengers on ME3 flights are from India. So ME3 take a big chunk of India market. If India gives free ride to ME3 and lets them fly to all airports, it won't be possible for AI and Indigo to go beyond their current status.  So India is not letting them fly more flights to India. So don't expect direct flights to Dubai from AP anytime soon.

India also needs to step up its game and make the passenger experience world-class in its airports like Delhi and Bombay. So passengers won't feel a difference if they do their transfer in Delhi or Dubai. Then Delhi and Bombay can serve Europe-SE Asia traffic and help Indian airlines scale up. It also needs to scrap the 10% seats to NE India policy and come up with Udan like scheme.

I am a little confused with your argument. Are you saying that the highly efficient indian government deliberately not issuing seats to Arab carriers due to their funding to terrorist organizations?
if thats the reason..why not ban them altogether just like they banned Chinese funny apps like TikTok and saved india from china 😀

If there are 2 sons in a house. out of them one turned out to be terrorist..should the government let that guy operate his  activities but  only make sucre to discipline the second one? 🤓 how can these rougue airlines continue to operate in metro cities ? 
why should indian govt give international status to airports when they don’t have will to allocate seats with international carriers Or promote india  based airlines to travel to international hubs?

People who have HYD or BLR as final destination , don’t understand tha agony of collecting, checking in the luggage multiple times and paying more money and spending more time in transits.

Gannavaram badly needs couple of true hub connections. Until that point, AP can consider being treated as step child.

Aa gannavaram airport bhayataki hadavidi lopala worst. Washrooms on par with bus stand :wall: its a mini bus stand. I have never been to vizag airport but this is by far the worst I have seen in domestic airports. Dheeni nundi international nadiparante boothu ye. 

2023 lo india trip vellinappudu bza to chennai, bza to blr travelled. Both flights were full. It has good demand even on week days. 

One thing I observed is flight timings of Delhi and Mumbai. International travel ki ivi not helping. Can add couple more in these routes. 6-8 hours wait time avthundhi current schedules ki. Because of which hyd is taking max traffic. Hyd by road velli flight ekkeyyochu ee wait time bokka kante.

2012 time lo ayithe..indian toilet undedhi . Luggage collection belt daggara nunchi ..visitors tho maatladochu . Antha open gaa undedhi 😂

 

hopefully the new integrated terminal is on par with Other airports 🤞

Agree with all points…but one.

Air India through International travel ki connection timings perfect…8.30 ki VJA lo 3 hour in Delhi to ORD….and other major US cities….arrival kooda same…21 hours lo ORD to VJA and 22 hours lo VJa to ORD approximately.

Maybe I was checking for different intl airlines. Anyway madhi CLT can’t compare with ORD but still, I had 6hrs layover on arrival and departure ki ~5hrs. Maku Least ye 25hrs… Avg ga 30-32 avvuddhi.

Air india best option in terms of time I guess but service suckss ga 🚶🏻‍♂️

Andukee main cities like hud, blr, chennai nundi emirates with around 1 to 2 hours layover .. popular

Middle east countries intl flights padithe settt. At least one. Emirates / Qatar even Etihad edho oka direct option. Instead of solely depending on air india.

The more the international traffic we get, the better amenities will follow.

i am still hopeful, we will see a great deal of change once the new terminal is opened 

 

i heard that, they are going to have jet bridge as well, so that we no longer have to take a bus to reach the aircraft.

2017 lo GMR was behind not getting international connectivity to VGA….reason is more than 30% of Hyd international passengers are from AP region. GMR directly benefits from HYD airport.
