అమరావతి: విశాఖ సిగలో మరో కలికితురాయి చేరనున్నది. ఆసియా ఖండంలోనే తొలి అత్యంత అధునాతన వైద్య పరికరాల తయారీ పరీక్షా కేంద్రం ఏర్పాటుకు రంగం సిద్ధమైంది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ మెడికల్‌ టెక్నాలజీ జోన (ఎఎంటిజెడ్‌) పేరుతో ఏర్పాటవుతున్న ఈ ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ప్రాజెక్టుకు ఆగస్టు 19వ తేదిన శంకుస్థాపన జరపడానికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబునాయుడు పచ్చజెండా ఊపారు. ఇదే సందర్భంలో అంతర్జాతీయంగా పేరొందిన వైద్య సాంకేతిక పరికరాల తయారీదారులతో విశాఖలో శిఖరాగ్ర సదస్సును నిర్వహించాలని నిర్ణయించారు. మూడు ప్రధానమైన ఓడరేవులు విశాఖ సమీపంలోనే ఉండటం నగరానికి ప్రధాన ఆకర్షణ కాగలదని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. భావనపాడు అంతర్జాతీయ ఓడరేవు, విశాఖలో సహజసిద్దమైన ఓడరేవు, కాకినాడ ఓడరేవు రానున్న కాలంలో తూర్పు దేశాల ఎగుమతులకు ప్రధాన స్థావరాలు కానున్నాయన్నారు. కొత్త పార్కును అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలతో ప్రపంచ ఉత్తమ ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్‌ మెడికల్‌ పార్కుగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని కోరారు. వైద్య సాంకేతిక పరికరాల ఎగుమతులను పెంచడం, భారీగా ఉద్యోగ, ఉపాధి కల్పన, మరింత చౌకగా వైద్యసేవలు అందుబాటులో ఉంచడం లక్ష్యాలుగా కేంద్ర సహకారంతో ఈ జోన తలపెట్టామని చెప్పారు. వైద్య పరికరాల ఉత్పత్తిలో అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయి కంపెనీలను ఎఎంటిజెడ్‌లో భాగస్వాముల్ని చేయాలన్నారు. విశాఖ జిల్లా నడుపూరులో తొలుత 270 ఎకరాల్లో జోన ఏర్పాటుచేస్తున్నట్లు వైద్య ఆరోగ్యమంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్‌ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి వివరించారు. 200కు పైగా కంపెనీలు తమ యూనిట్లు నెలకొల్పేందుకు ఆసక్తిచూపాయని వైద్యఆరోగ్యశాఖ ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి పూనం మాలకొండయ్య చెప్పారు. కాంపోనెంట్‌ టెస్టింగ్‌ సెంటర్‌, ఎలకో్ట్ర మ్యాగ్నటిక్‌ ఇంటర్‌ఫెరెన్స లేబొరేటరీ, మెడికల్‌ గ్రేడ్‌లో వాక్యూమ్‌ మోల్డింగ్‌, కేబినెట్‌ మోల్డింగ్‌ సెంటర్లు, మెడికల్‌ గ్రేడ్‌ ఉత్పత్తుల 3 డీ డిజైనింగ్‌, ప్రింటింగ్‌ సదుపాయాలు, స్టెరిలైజేషన, టాక్సిటీ టెస్టింగ్‌ సెంటర్‌, రేడియేషన టెస్టింగ్‌సెంటర్‌, వేర్‌హౌసింగ్‌, ఇతర సదుపాయాలు ఇక్కడ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నామని ఎఎంటిజెడ్‌ సిఇఒ డాక్టర్‌ జితేందర్‌ శర్మ తెలిపారు. శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, పరిశోధకుల కోసం అక్కడే మరో 50 ఎకరాల్లో గృహ సముదాయాన్ని నిర్మించాలని సిఎం సూచించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎఎంటిజెడ్‌ వెబ్‌సైట్‌ను ప్రారంభించారు.

విశాఖపట్నం: ఈ నెల 19న మెడికల్‌ టెక్నాలజీ పార్క్‌ ఏర్పాటుకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు శంకుస్థాపన చేయనున్నారు. ఈ క్రమంలో ఆరోగ్యశాఖ ముఖ్యకార్యదర్శి పూనం మాలకొండయ్య శంకుస్థాపన ఏర్పాట్లపై సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. 270 ఎకరాల్లో మెడికల్‌ టెక్నాలజీ పార్క్‌ ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు.

Andhra Pradesh government is coming up with Asia’s First Modern Mega Medical Park in Vishakapatnam. The foundation stone for this Mega Park will be laid on 19th of this month. The government is planning to organize an investors’ summit in Vishakapatnam to attract investments to this Mega Medical Park. The Mega Medical Park will come in Naduvuru near Vishakapatnam. It will be developed on 270 acres in the first phase. It is already said that about 200 companies have evinced interest to set up units in this Mega Medival Park. World Class facilities like Electro Magnetic Interference laboratories, Injection Moulding centers, Raditional Testing facilities will also come up here. There will 12 different buildings in twelve different shapes in this Mega Medical Park. The government is planning to invite owners of several big pharma companies and budding entrepreneurs to the foundation stone laying ceremony of this project. If everything goes well, this project will be a game changer project for Uttarandhra.

విశాఖలో వైద్య పరికరాల పార్కు
 

• 19న సీఎం చేతుల మీదుగా పనులు ప్రారంభం

(ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి/విశాఖపట్నం) : భారతదేశంలోనే ప్రప్రథమ వైద్య పరికరాల తయారీ పార్కు విశాఖపట్నంలో ఏర్పాటు కాబోతోంది. సూది నుంచి స్కానింగ్‌ యంత్రం వరకూ అన్నిటినీ అక్కడ తయారుచేయవచ్చు. దేశీయ అవసరాలను తీర్చడమే కాక విదేశాలకు కూడా ఇక్కడి నుంచి వైద్య పరికరాలను ఎగుమతి చేయాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం యోచిస్తోంది. ఈ పార్కు పనులకు ఈ నెల 19న సీఎం చంద్రబాబు శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తారు. దీనికి ‘ఏపీ మెడ్‌ టెక్‌ జోన’ (ఏఎంటీజెడ్‌) అని నామకరణం చేశారు. ఈ పార్కు కోసం పెదగంట్యాడ మండలం నడుపూరులో 275.84 ఎకరాలు కేటాయించారు. మెడికల్‌ పార్కుకు లేఅవుట్‌ రూపొందించే బాధ్యతను విశాఖపట్నం నగరాభివృద్ధి సంస్థ(వుడా)కు అప్పగించారు. ఈ మొత్తం స్థలంలో రహదారులు, ఓపెన స్థలాలు, ఇతర సామాజిక అవసరాలకు నిర్ణీత స్థలం కేటాయించి, మిగిలిన స్థలంలో 108 ప్లాట్లు వేశారు. వీటిలో అర ఎకరం విస్తీర్ణం గల ప్లాట్లు 48, ఎకరా విస్తీర్ణం గల ప్లాంట్లు 48, రెండు ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణం గల ప్లాట్లు 12 ఏర్పాటుచేశారు. వీటిని తయారీ సంస్థలకు కేటాయిస్తారు. ఆయా సంస్థలే ఇక్కడ నిర్మాణాలు చేపడతాయి. అవికాకుండా మొత్తం ఈ పార్కుకు అవసరమైన కొన్ని మౌలిక వసతులను ప్రభుత్వం కల్పిస్తుంది. తయారీ సంస్థలకు అవసరమైన అన్ని అనుమతులు, సదుపాయాలు ఒకే గొడుగు కిందకు తీసుకొచ్చి అందించాలని సీఎం నిర్ణయించారు. ఈ బాధ్యతను వైద్య, ఆరోగ్య శాఖ ప్రిన్సిపల్‌ సెక్రటరీ పూనం మాలకొండయ్యకు అప్పగించారు. ఆమె బుధవారం నడుపూరులో పార్కుకు కేటాయించిన ప్రాంతాన్ని పరిశీలించారు. కాగా ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్‌కు కేంద్ర అధికారి జితేంద్రశర్మ పూర్తి సారథ్యం వహిస్తున్నారు. ప్రముఖ సంస్థ కేపీఎంజీ దీనికి సమగ్ర ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ నివేదిక రూపొందించింది.

 

ప్రభుత్వపరంగా...

పరికరాల తయారీ సంస్థలతో పాటు పలు పరిశోధనశాలలు, టెస్టింగ్‌ సెంటర్లు, మార్కెటింగ్‌ కార్యాలయాలు ఇక్కడ ఏర్పాటుచేస్తారు. ఉత్పత్తుల ప్రదర్శనకు అవకాశం కల్పిస్తారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున రెగ్యులేటింగ్‌ అథారిటీ, కేంద్రం తరపున ఎక్స్‌పోర్ట్స్‌ ప్రమోషన కౌన్సిల్‌, తయారీదారుల కోసం మాన్యుఫ్యాక్చరర్ల అసోసియేషన ఏర్పాటుచేస్తారు. ఏదైనా సంస్థ ఇక్కడికి రాగానే కార్యకలాపాలు ప్రారంభించుకునేలా ప్లగ్‌ అండ్‌ ప్లే, రెడీ టూ మూవ్‌ ఇనటు బిల్డప్‌ ఏరియా వంటి సౌకర్యాలు కల్పిస్తారు. ఈ వ్యవహారాలన్నీ పర్యవేక్షించడానికి, ఏఎంటీజెడ్‌ కార్యాలయాన్ని ఇంతకుముందే రుషికొండ ఐటీ పార్కులో ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

 

ఇవీ ప్రయోజనాలు
విశాఖపట్నం ఏపీకి ఫార్మా హబ్‌గా మారుతోంది. మందులతో పాటు సర్జరీకి అవసరమైన, ఆస్పత్రుల నిర్వహణకు అవసరమైన పరికరాలకు కొరత ఉంది. అన్నీ విదేశాల నుంచే దిగుమతి చేసుకోవలసి వస్తోంది. దిగుమతులపై 12 నుంచి 20 శాతం సుంకంతో పాటు, రవాణా వ్యయం భారీగా పడుతోంది. రూ.కోటి విలువైన పరికరం తెప్పించుకుంటే...40 శాతం అదనపు భారం పడుతోంది. ఈ పార్కు అందుబాటులోకి వస్తే.. ఈ వ్యయం తగ్గుతుంది. స్పేర్‌పార్ట్స్‌, ఇతర మరమ్మతులు వంటివి అందుబాటులోకి వస్తాయి. వీటి వ్యయాలన్నీ తగ్గడం వల్ల అంతిమంగా రోగులపై భారం తగ్గుతుంది. పార్కులో సుమారుగా 100కు పైగా తయారీ సంస్థలు వస్తే.. రూ.20 వేల కోట్ల వరకు పెట్టుబడులు వస్తాయని అంచనా. వీటి ద్వారా కనీసం రెండు వేల మందికి ఉపాధి లభిస్తుంది.

న్యూఢిల్లీ: ఏపీలో నిర్మించ తలపెట్టిన మెడిటెక్ పార్కుకు ఈనెల 19న మెడిటెక్‌ పార్క్‌కు భూమిపూజ చేయనున్నట్లు మంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్ తెలిపారు. కేంద్రమంత్రులు వెంకయ్య, అనంత్‌కుమార్‌, సురేష్‌ప్రభు, నిర్మలాసీతారామన్‌, సుజనాచౌదరిని ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ఆహ్వానించామని చెప్పారు. మెడిటెక్‌ ఏర్పాటుకు కేంద్రం రూ.175కోట్లు అందించిందని, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం 270 ఎకరాల భూమి కేటాయించిందని చెప్పారు. మెడిటెక్‌ పార్క్‌లో 200 సంస్థలు యూనిట్‌లను ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నాయన్నారు.

 

 

25వేలమందికి ఉపాధి కల్పించడమే లక్ష్యమన్న మంత్రి ఏడాదిలోపు మెడిటెక్‌ పార్క్‌ నిర్మాణం పూర్తిచేస్తామని స్పష్టం చేశారు. వైద్యవిద్య సీట్లపై స్పందిస్తూ పారదర్శకంగానే వైద్యవిద్య సీట్లను భర్తీ చేస్తామని చెప్పారు. మేనేజ్‌మెంట్‌ కోటా సీట్లను ఎన్‌ఆర్‌ఐ కోటా సీట్లుగా బదలాయించేందుకు వీలులేదన్నారు. ప్రైవేట్‌ వైద్య కళాశాలల యాజమాన్యాలతో త్వరలో సమావేశం నిర్వహిస్తామని మంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్‌ వెల్లడించారు.

దిల్లీ: ఈనెల 19వ తేదీన విశాఖపట్నంలో మెడ్‌టెక్‌ పార్క్‌కు భూమిపూజ నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు ఏపీ వైద్య, ఆరోగ్యశాఖ మంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్‌ తెలిపారు. వైద్య పరికరాల తయారీ కోసం మెడ్‌టెక్‌ పార్క్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయడంం దేశంలో ఇదే తొలిసారని వెల్లడించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరుకావాల్సిందిగా దిల్లీలోని కేంద్రమంత్రులను ఈరోజు ఆయన ఆహ్వానించారు.

ఈ పార్క్‌ కోసం 275 ఎకరాలను రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కేటాయించినట్లు మంత్రి తెలిపారు. 225కోట్ల వ్యయంతో 200 యూనిట్లు నెలకొల్పుతామని.. దీంతో 25వేల మందికి ఉపాధి లభిస్తుందన్నారు. ఎగుమతులకు అనువుగా ఉంటుందన్న కారణంగానే విశాఖను ఎంపిక చేసినట్లు తెలిపారు.

అమరావతిలో ప్లాస్టిక్‌ పార్క్‌ : సీఎం చంద్రబాబు

విశాఖపట్టణం :  రాజధాని అమరావతిలో ప్లాస్టిక్‌ పార్క్‌ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామని రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబునాయుడు  ప్రకటించారు. శుక్రవారం విశాఖలో ఆయన విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడుతూ... విశాఖపట్టణంలో ఏర్పాటుచేస్తున్న మెడి టెక్ పార్క్‌తో 25 వేల మందికి ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు లభిస్తాయని  పేర్కొన్నారు.  అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో ఎగుమతులు చేసేలా మెడి టెక్‌ పార్క్‌ను అభివృద్ధి చేస్తామన్నారు. అలాగే ఈ మెడి టెక్‌ పార్క్‌లో 300 కంపెనీలు ఏర్పాటుకానున్నాయని, మొత్తం రూ.30 వేల కోట్ల పెట్టుబడులు వస్తాయని అంచనా వేస్తున్నామని చంద్రబాబు పేర్కొన్నారు. అలాగే గ్రామస్థాయి నుంచి హెల్త్‌  ప్రొఫైల్‌ రూపొందిస్తామన్నారు.

AMTZ launches EoI for scientific facilities at medical device park in Vishakhapatnam

Subsequent to laying of foundation stone on August 19, 2016 by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) has recently launched Expression of Interests (EoIs) for scientific facilities for medical equipment manufacturing, project development, construction, set up agencies for enabling technology transfer and financial support at AMTZ in Vishakhapatnam.

The AMTZ Investors’ Brochure was also launched and is available for free download on AMTZ’s website www.AMTZ.in with the Expression of Interest documents for various Common Scientific Manufacturing Facilities. The bookings for factory is set to begin on October 2, 2016.

With 200 to 300 manufacturing units of plot area 0.25 acres, 0.5 acres and 1.0 acre each, AMTZ would host common manufacturing units commonly required for medical equipment manufacturing, tenders of which were released for selection of private agencies under Build & Operate model. These are by far the largest and most comprehensive effort ever made in India to boost the dormant medical devices industry.

 

Some of these facilities do not exist in India and AMTZ is set to become the first, making India the first country in Asia to host them and also becoming the first in the country to achieve this feat.

 

Some of the facilities include high-tech laboratories such as component testing and board manufacturing centre, electro-magnetic interference (EMI/EMC) laboratory, medical grade low vacuum molding, cabinet molding, injection molding centres, 3D designing and printing for medical grade products, sterilization and toxicity testing centre, radiation testing centre, gamma irradiation facility, rapid prototyping centre, industrial R&D centre, incubation centre, convention centre and expo halls, warehousing, regulator’s office and other facilities commonly required in manufacturing of medical devices.

These common manufacturing scientific facilities are currently not available in India to most of the manufacturers as they are high in capital investment and the manufacturers instead prefer to send their raw materials abroad for process upgradation. These facilities along with the proximity to all modes of transport like port, railways, road, air will act as unique proposition to attract medical equipment manufacturers to come and set up their units in AMTZ. This shall help reduce cost of manufacturing by over 40 per cent and this benefit could be passed on to the buyers.

AMTZ launches EoI for scientific facilities at medical device park in Vishakhapatnam

Subsequent to laying of foundation stone on August 19, 2016 by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) has recently launched Expression of Interests (EoIs) for scientific facilities for medical equipment manufacturing, project development, construction, set up agencies for enabling technology transfer and financial support at AMTZ in Vishakhapatnam.

The AMTZ Investors’ Brochure was also launched and is available for free download on AMTZ’s website www.AMTZ.in with the Expression of Interest documents for various Common Scientific Manufacturing Facilities. The bookings for factory is set to begin on October 2, 2016.

With 200 to 300 manufacturing units of plot area 0.25 acres, 0.5 acres and 1.0 acre each, AMTZ would host common manufacturing units commonly required for medical equipment manufacturing, tenders of which were released for selection of private agencies under Build & Operate model. These are by far the largest and most comprehensive effort ever made in India to boost the dormant medical devices industry.

 

Some of these facilities do not exist in India and AMTZ is set to become the first, making India the first country in Asia to host them and also becoming the first in the country to achieve this feat.

 

Some of the facilities include high-tech laboratories such as component testing and board manufacturing centre, electro-magnetic interference (EMI/EMC) laboratory, medical grade low vacuum molding, cabinet molding, injection molding centres, 3D designing and printing for medical grade products, sterilization and toxicity testing centre, radiation testing centre, gamma irradiation facility, rapid prototyping centre, industrial R&D centre, incubation centre, convention centre and expo halls, warehousing, regulator’s office and other facilities commonly required in manufacturing of medical devices.

These common manufacturing scientific facilities are currently not available in India to most of the manufacturers as they are high in capital investment and the manufacturers instead prefer to send their raw materials abroad for process upgradation. These facilities along with the proximity to all modes of transport like port, railways, road, air will act as unique proposition to attract medical equipment manufacturers to come and set up their units in AMTZ. This shall help reduce cost of manufacturing by over 40 per cent and this benefit could be passed on to the buyers.

In a major boost to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in medical device industry, the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) as its second industry facilitator at Visakhapatnam which will house the first government funded medical device park in India.

 

The medical device park will make India an import independent country for medical equipment industry.  The collaboration would help setting up a facilitation desk at AMTZ which would act as a one stop shop for all queries of members of WASME.

WASME comes with an international congregation of medium and small scale manufacturers and has a substantial presence in India with a large number of component manufacturers in its fold.

Such strategic associations will act as a catalyst in the confidence building of manufacturers and building a long-term relationship with them. With special focus on MSME manufacturers, WASME provides a global platform for MSMEs to come and set up their units at AMTZ.

After the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOIs) for various common scientific facilities and manufacturing units, these collaborations will bring about required additional stakeholder synergies and interest among the interested manufacturers and/or service providers.

Proposed to be built on 271 acres of land with a seed capital of Rs. 25 crore, AMTZ will set up in-house high capital intensive common scientific facilities helping medical device manufacturers reduce the cost of manufacturing in the country.

The medical device park is proposed to have all such facilities in-house that are required for specialized product verticals to reduce manufacturing process costs. The park will provide modern state-of- the-art common facilities such as specialised laboratories, warehousing and testing centre apart from 150 to 200 independent manufacturing units, each in a built-in ready to use area of 0.5 to 1 acre each.

The AMTZ with in-house high investment scientific facilities would help manufacturers reduce the cost of manufacturing by more than 40 per cent to 50 per cent.

Currently, due to lack of such centrally located shareable facilities, either manufacturers do not undertake production of technologies requiring them or send their products abroad for process up-gradation and value addition.

న్యూఢిల్లీ, నవంబరు 28(ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి): నవ్యాంధ్రలో మరో ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక సంస్థ ఏర్పాటు కానుంది. వైద్య పరికరాల ప్రోత్సాహక మండలి (ఎండీపీసీ)ని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నారు. దేశంలో వైద్య పరికరాల ఉత్పత్తిని ప్రోత్సహించాలనుకుంటున్న కేంద్ర ఫార్మాసూటికల్స్‌ విభాగం ఎండీపీసీ ఏర్పాటుకు గతంలోనే నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. అయితే, వివిధ కారణాల వల్ల ఈ ప్రతిపాదన ముందుకెళ్లలేదు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో మెడ్‌టెక్‌ పార్కులో ఎండీపీసీని ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు ఏపీ సీఎం చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు ముందుకొచ్చారు. దీనిపై కేంద్ర మంత్రి వెంకయ్య నాయుడు చొరవ తీసుకోవటంతో ఈ ప్రక్రియ తుది రూపు తీసుకుంది. దీంతో ఏపీలో ఎండీపీసీని ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామని వెంకయ్య నాయుడు సోమవారం స్వయంగా ప్రకటించారు. కేంద్ర మంత్రి సుజనా చౌదరి, రాష్ట్ర వైద్య, ఆరోగ్య శాఖ మంత్రి కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్‌, ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి పూనం మాలకొండయ్య పార్లమెంటు భవనంలో వెంకయ్య నాయుడుతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. ఏపీకి సంబంధించిన పెండింగ్‌ అంశాలపై చర్చించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా కేంద్ర మంత్రులు అనంతకుమార్‌, అనిల్‌ మాధవ్‌ దవే, థావర్‌ చంద్‌ గెహ్లాట్‌లను తన చాంబర్‌కు పిలిపించుకుని వెంకయ్య మాట్లాడారు. ఎండీపీసీ ఏర్పాటు ప్రక్రియను వేగవంతం చేయాలని, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ మెడ్‌ టెక్‌ పార్కులో దీనిని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని వారిని కోరారు. వచ్చే నెల చివరి వారంలో ఎండీపీసీకి శంకుస్థాపన చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు.

 

ఇదిలా ఉండగా.. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో వంద జన ఔషధి దుకాణాలను ప్రారంభించాలని నిర్ణయించారు. డిసెంబర్‌ మొదటి వారంలో లేదా చివరి వారంలో ఈ ప్రారంభోత్సవాలు జరుగుతాయి. విశాఖపట్నంలోని జన ఔషధి దుకాణాన్ని కేంద్ర మంత్రులు అనంతకుమార్‌, వెంకయ్య నాయుడు ప్రారంభిస్తారు. రాష్ట్రానికి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం వెయ్యి దుకాణాలను కేటాయించింది. ఎయిమ్స్‌ నిర్మాణ ప్రక్రియను వేగవంతం చేయటం, పీఎంఎ్‌సఎ్‌సవై నిధుల మంజూరు, మరో ఐదు డయాలసిస్‌ కేంద్రాల ఏర్పాటు, కర్నూలు, నెల్లూరుల్లో కేన్సర్‌ ఆస్పత్రుల ఏర్పాటు ప్రక్రియపై కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్య శాఖ కార్యదర్శితో చర్చించామని కామినేని శ్రీనివాస్‌ తెలిపారు.

AMTZ inks MoU with QCI for ICMED certification

As a step towards protecting industry from faulty medical devices and reliance on international certifications, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) recently signed an MoU with the Quality Council of India (QCI) to promote Indian Certification for Medical Devices (ICMED) Scheme in India.

Developed in collaboration with AiMeD, QCI and the NABCB – ICMED is a quality certification scheme for medical devices in the country with an aim to enhance patient safety, and increase consumer protection along with providing much needed product credentials to manufacturers to instil confidence among buyers.

The scheme is also intended to significantly eliminate trading of sub-standard products or devices where supply chains are unknown, a widespread and injurious occurrence in the Indian market.

 

The MoU was signed by Dr. Jitendar Sharma, chief executive officer, AMTZ and Dr. R. P. Singh, secretary general, QCI in the presence of Dr. Kamineni Srinivas, Health and Medical Education Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Dr. Poonam Malakondaiah, principal secretary, Health Medical & Family Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Rajiv Nath, forum coordinator, Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMeD); Anil Jauhri, chief executive officer, National Accreditation Board for Certification Modies (NABCB); and Mrutunjay Jena, joint director, NABCB and other distinguished guests.

 

Currently, with no established mandatory quality certifications for medical device manufacturing sector in India, the medical devices manufactured in India lack an element of competitiveness with respect to the imported medical devices.

With manufacturers forming a bee-line to start manufacturing at AMTZ, this collaboration with QCI would help the manufacturers be ICMED compliant from the first day itself.

AMTZ and QCI would be working closely in this direction by joint selection of agencies for empanelment for promotion of quality in medical devices and even facilitating manufacturing of identified technologies at AMTZ.

 

AMTZ which is India's first medical devices manufacturing park has already announced bookings of factories at a refundable fee of Rs.6,250; Rs.12,500 & Rs.25,000 for a 0.25 acre; 0.50 acre and 1.00 acre manufacturing unit respectively. AMTZ has been receiving bookings continuously since the launch of booking on 2nd October.

Government of Andhra Pradesh and senior management of Andhra Med Tech Zone had also led an ‘exclusive investors meet’ at world’s largest and most attended medical devices expo -Medica on November 15, 2016 at Dusseldorf, Germany. This was AMTZ first international summit at Dusseldorf.

Dr. Jitendar Sharma said that the response from industry has been very encouraging and 10 per cent of the proposed factories have already been booked since October 2, 2016 when the booking for AMTZ was launched. The zone has received applications from some of the largest companies.

 

AMTZ would include facilities such as component testing centre, electro-magnetic interference laboratory, medical grade low vacuum molding, cabinet molding, injection molding centres, 3D designing and printing for medical grade products, sterilization and toxicity testing centre, radiation testing centre, gamma irradiation facility, rapid prototyping centre, warehousing and regulator’s office.
