Telugu community in Sydney , Australia has celebrated NTR Birthday in a gala way on 31st May 2009 at Marayong Community Centre, Sydney , Australia . More than 150 families have participated with great enthusiasm. The celebrations started by conducting fun games to kids, women and men.

Aruna Chandrala, Ratnakar Busi and Narasimha have shared their views and association of NTR and his achievements and welfare schemes.

In memory of NTR, the following awards were presented:

Dr NTR Telugu Prathibha Award presented to Ms Monika Sriramula, who has secured 99.5% marks in HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate).

Dr NTR Telugu Mithra Award presented to Sekhar Darapuneni of Leo Microsystems, for providing several employment opportunities to Telugu community in Sydney and Canberra .

Dr NTR Telugu Athidi Award presented to Monika, Co-ordinator, Red Cross for motivating Telugu community in donating more than 100 units of blood on this occasion.

The following people were instrumental in the success of the celebrations:

Rama Rao Bogolu, Bhanu Prasad Nagabhyrava, Prasad Kacherla, Satyanarayana Reddy, Venkat Kantipudi, Murali Muppavarapu, Phani Kumar Kodali, Sai Dhanekula, Rama Rao Gunnam, Aravind, Siva Dumpala, Suvarna Raju and Udaya Bhaskar.
