“This is my first Filmfare award and it does feel really really great. Strangely, people have been telling me I do not look that excited after having won the Filmfare for the first time. I don’t know what to say to that. But then if you were to ask me if this was the biggest moment of my life, then the answer would be ‘no’. That would be my good fortune to be born as the grandson of NTR. That is my biggest award and nothing can top that. But yes I am very happy to have won the award.”

“More than anything what Yamadonga has proven is the magic of a winning combination. Call it destiny or pure luck, Rajamouli and I go back a long time. The two of us started out together when we were nobodies. Rajamouli was the son of a great writer and I was the grandson of NTR. We both worked for Simhadri, which was a smashing success. Our careers have almost run parallel. The success of Yamadonga only reiterates the special working equation we share. Today we have proven to be worthy successors to the great lineage we inherited.”
