NTR Trust Atlanta has screened a free show of the movie Dana Veera Sura Karna at Galaxy cinemas in Atlanta, on 16th December 2007 at 2:30 PM, the purpose of the event was to raise awareness of NTR Trust and its programs.
Sri NTR fans across metro Atlanta, Georgia and nearby states like Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina have come to attend the screening of the
cinema. The theater premises were decorated with Sri NTR’s larger than life size banners depicting Sri Krishna’s role. Volunteers from NTR Trust Atlanta setup a table with CD’s [Nandamuri Ramayanam] and books [Oke Okkadu] for sale to the attendees and the proceeds were to be used toward charitable programs conducted by NTR Trust.
The afternoon started with Jyothi Prajwalana and Harathi of Sri NTRs photo on the stage by chinnarulu Chi.Divya, Chi.Manasa, Chi.Medhana, Chi.Apoorva, Chi.Anuhya, Chi.Akshitha, Chi.Aakash, Chi.Akshay, Chi.Sumanth and Chi.Srikar. It was followed by short video presentation of current NTR trust programs in Andhra Pradesh which was eagerly watched by the attendees.
The NTR Trust Atlanta volunteers also distributed a Vision statement to the people present and it detailed the various initiatives and programs that were planned or to be launched.
Sri NTR fans truly enjoyed the screening of the movie and it was evident throughout the entire 4 hours of the show when they loudly cheered all the important dialogues NTR delivered in the roles of Sri Krishna, Duryodhana and Karna. The fans were full of excitement whenever NTR appeared on the screen, confetti [rangu kagithalu] and balloons were thrown in the air and to the many people present in the theater it reminded of the first day first show release of yester year NTR movies. Ardent fans also continuously raised slogans like Johar NTR, NTR Amarrahe, Telugu Jathi muddubidda NTR and many more eulogizing the beloved leader annagaaru.
Over 300 enthusiastic fans attended the event despite the bad weather on that day, making it a resounding success. All the attendees vowed to support the noble causes of the NTR Trust going forward.
