Today was my company's annual summer event and my equity prinicipal asked some of us desis here to select a couple of songs both in traditional indian dance segment and modern indian dance..All the desis contributed. I did mine too keeping in view that it would be a majorly white affair.... I chose both from telugu movies. The rest were all stupid hindi songs. I was prepared to see some idiotic Om shanti Om stuff...but guess what...there were 2 telugu songs played..both chosen by me......
1.) Nachore Nachore ( for its fast western beats)
2.) Kamal's dance in Saagara Sangamam.......
I was stunned when a white chap danced for Nachore Nachore and he won the best dance composition of the night in the western dance category.........Man...Ppl gave a standing ovation for 15 minutes for his dance....I was so happy when he said " I just faithfully reproduced the guy's dance in that song. I should confess that I have been dancing for quite a while now and this is by far the toughest and the most graceful of western compositions that I have danced to..."
annadu....I had goose bumps....Thanks Jr....U deserve the praise
An ABCD tam chick danced for Kamal's dance and she actually won the best dance overall of the evening......It was amazing...but she was a pro I guess....But I should say....Nachore ki junta literally white kids just went berserk.....It was a great feeling.......
