kaNTRi completed 50 days today. An analysis of what it is to NTR !
It started silently without much hype. It was publicized as make over film for NTR. The director made his debut in Telugu after a couple of flop Kannada movies.
Vijayanthi had a string of flops before this movie.
The pre-release publicity was at its nadir. There was no audio function, no platinum disk function and the producer sited some silly reasons for low pre-release promotion.
The film release with below average talk. It was released amidst IPL and many other major releases. Trade analysis thought it would be another 'sainikudu'.
But to everyone's suprise it made Tsunami of openings. It did extra-ordinary business in its first 3 weeks and started declining from there. Even after release it didnt have good promotion or publicity.
What it means to NTR
It created new base for NTR. It did exceptional business in A class centers, Multiplexes, Overseas, otherstates.
NTR proves to be money spinner at the box office. He carries the entire film on his shoulders. He didnt get any support from Producer in form of promotion, lousy direction, below par audio by mani but just carried the film away.
NTR increases acceptability in different section of audience.
His old image of Rustic Mass bulky one is wiped out and he is gaining the image of Urbane stylish youth without losing his hold in the masses.
It proved the stamina and strength of NTR. It collected 25+ crores. Its bigger than any of NTRs contemporary heroes second best movies. ( better than MB's any movie except Pokiri, bigger than Chiruta)
People are ready to accept NTR as the next No.1 with the exit of the present one..
People are ready to accept NTR in totally entertainer movies.
It proved how reslient NTR movies can be in midst of competition.
It raises expectations about the future flicks of NTR. Imagine NTR+VVV coming for Sankranthi 2009. If it gets good talk what would be the range? Any idea atleast.

Thanks ! skilaru mama personal choice is different but audio is not chartbusters by any means. commercial ga success kaledu and background music is more disappointing which usually is best in mani's music.
