Doesn't such tax imposing moves by Govt only encourage paper money exchanges?

Don't do IMPS bro.  use RTGS payment mode which takes 2 hrs credit amount.

Blunder is most of the people doesn't  knows this and they are not giving any awareness programs.

RBI has waived any fee from banks for transfers and instructed banks to pass on benefits to customers. Its your bank which is silently levying.

Take it up with your bank... or shift to a bank which provides free transfers..

You paid fee on transfer which is a chargeable service as per your bank and it attracts gst.

Just a banks issue and not a policy of governance as you mentioned.

It's MDR levied by banks and borne by merchant who utilise POS terminal (not borne by the consumer)

Income tax is government money and MDR is banks money

Hope you understand the difference.
