GOLI SODA
LYNCHING IS THE HALLMARK OF SOCIETIES DRIVEN BY  PRIMITIVE FEARS.  Lynching is a premeditated extrajudicial killing by a group. It is most often used to characterize informal public executions by a mob in order to punish an alleged transgressor, convicted transgressor, or to intimidate a group. It happens almost every other day in India. Whether it is a thief or a suspected child kidnapper or a suspected gau hatyara. In which world do these guys who believe lynching is a western construct live? Lynching is the hallmark of a primitive society driven by primeval fears. The Americans did it to black people. The Pakistanis do it to alleged blasphemers and we in India do it for so many reasons. One can say Lynching is as Indian as Motichur Laddu. - Mohan Guruswamy
