How in the hell is it acceptable to have a mandatory meeting at 12 midnight or 5 in the morning?

oneman show cheyyadam, micromanage cheyyadam maanaali. Future lo TDP gelisthe CBN cm avvakoodadhu. Next generation ki cm post ichi retire avvaali

I'd say it should be opposite. CBN has the energy to spend long hours productively in interacting with cadre and do backend dealings. As a CM, I believe one should delegate most of the work and spend most of the time on optics and correct PR & marketing. Thats why NTR at front with CBN at back worked very well. Whoever is in power, on the ground, things take long time to materialize. With CBN's style of PR (arachethilo vaikuntum and self-promotion at the expense of others), things can boomerang spectacularly as they did this time. While TTs bought his PR, it failed to connect with the rest of masses.

ceo vs manager

ceo he needs to take quality decisions like setting priorities, finalizing strategies , delegating work to right people . he have to think about big picture and work on macro level details  like funds requirement and cost benefit ratio etc. he can enjoy remaining time as per his personal choice.

manager : he needs to  complete the work assigned by ceo with required quality and deadline . he needs to take care details at the implementation level and supervise work progress. he have to look the work at micro level.

Nobody likes to be micro managed. That explains why high rank officials are against CBN. But what ever happened to the rest?  Don't think those meetings have a domino effect on the entire employee community or does it?

 

Somehow I feel the odd timings of the so called review meetings are also an exaggeration. Eppudanna anukokunda pettina meetings ni ekkuva chesi cheppukuntunnaremo ani anipistundi. Evarikaina personal experience unte cheppandi

I'd love to hear some day-to-day experiences on this.

A close family member who's a govt employee mentioned this problem in some remote discussion. I respect her thoughts.

Its entirely possible that employees blew this out of proportions. But, keep an open mind.
