Diabetes is due to food habits +mental tension + sedentary life.

It's 100%good if we can follow khadar diet. May r may not cure diseases but there won't be any drawbacks. 

I started millets from 2months they are good for me compared to rice. 

6montgs back my h1b1ac was 6.5

With 1hour exercise daily burning 350 kcalories I came weight from 74to 67.

H1b1ac was 5.9now

I'm not questioning healthy food habits Dr Kader is recommending. They absolutely help. I even mentioned this early in the thread.

My contention is some of them (may not be Dr Kader) claiming its a cure for ALL diseases. Its not. Its a good start for a healthy life style.

I'd love to eat ragi/jonna sangati everyday ... unfortunately with a busy lifestyle, its not always feasible.

1) VRK diet is nothing but HFLC (High Fat Low card diet).

this diet initially experimented in kids to cure one particualr disease in 2007, applied later for adults to get the best results. If any one want to follow the diet the net carbs should n't exceed 50 and 30 total carbs. He copied the 90% of diet completely  from dr Berg (https://www.drberg.com/) and jason fung and two more famous doctors. refer online in youtube and his blog. but people in india are givning only fat and eating less vegatables in future if they continue the same they end up with fatty liver. eat at least 6-8 cups of saldas and vegatables. and don't do liquid diet more than 23 hrs as vrk said. majority of the people are shedding only water weight and not the actual fat.  People who are living in us/canada better to follow the diet of berg. but be careful that if your body converts from carbohydrate metabolism to fat metabolism. It will make glucose right away from the fat and you will be endiup having more problems. 

2) Kadhar vali diet:

 As his points are more valid and this diet is best among all the diets who want to shed some weight. for indian people this diet is so good. for us/can people the item prices he suggests are very costly.

3) better to follow these ideas:

          people who are taking sugars/ honey it's better to stop, replace that with xylitol, erthiritol, monk fruit sugars. this will not raise the insulin.  

          it's better to follow intermitting fast, eat only in 8 hours window and for the rest of 16 hours give body to burn the calories. 

          eat the food only which have low glycemic index and it won't raise the sugar levels.

US lo vuna vallu Millets kosam please refer below webstie, I personally bought from them twice and like their service and the quality of items. If you live in Midwest like I do this is the best approach you have to pay for shipping but you get free sesame oil bottle for items above 50 USD and they extracted the oil using ganuga method (Naturally bull driven oil) after you deduct the price of the bottle you might end up paying 10 USD or so..  They also sell Palm jaggery and some of the items are very healthy do your own research on what you might want ,,

I have seen indian sites yesterday, on all sites 1 lb costs roughly 3.5$.  us lo unte bob's red mill untayi 2 lb for 5.21$ even they are available in walmart...

1 lb of basmati rice costs 1$. bob's products are so good and coconut falkes with out sulpher bit costly but they are very tasty like sugar.

Agree with you annayi. nenu undedi North dakota lo.  nenu antha baruvu lenule, my wife is following dr berg diet.  nenu 16: 8 diet following, replaced cane sugar with xylitol (no after taste) in coffee and half and half milk.  after noon regular gane rice tintunna, evening time either avocado/pb fit powder/ only fried vegatables and coconut flakes tintunna. just one month try chedamule ani chesthe reduced 10 lbs in just 4 weeks. kanisam gym kooda touch cheyaledu. basmathi middle glycemic index kabatti not feeling that hungry, millets to issue enti ante ante that's not easy to digest if you are not going to gym or not having proper exercise.

For oils, better to use olive, palm and coconut. but never go for vegatable, corn, soy oil. look for organic oils.

 

never use this sugar if any one have kids, I found this in our bournvita.

To remove pesticides/chemicals from day to day vegetables(leafy vegetables as well)/fruits:

mix 20grams chinthapandu (or nimma rasam or tomato juice also - or any oxalic acid unna juices) in huge water bowl and soak vegetables/fruits for 20-30 minutes. After that remove vegetables and clean them with water.

mari too much pesticides vaaduthunnaru vegetables lo fruits lo india lo, and this is one primary cause of cancers..

Costco ones are also good. If you can bear the raw coconut smell you can use virgin else use refined. Coconut oil is physically refined. No chemicals are used.
