sskmaestro Posted October 2, 2018 Share Posted October 2, 2018 States like Gujarath, Haryana, Rajasthan are ahead in research of improving desi cow milf breeds like Gir, Shahiwal, Red Sindhi, Rathi, Tharparkar, Haryana etc., there are many govt institutes for each breed where you see high pedigreed bulls and semen collection. Each semen sample is given to public at 20 INR. AP also has Punganur and Ongole research centers but the sad state is the officials in these institutes have zero interest and knowledge and they are doing inbreeding and killing the breed. GIR cows are toughest animals they can survive at any climate. person who drink GIR cows milk stays away from allergies. Gir cow milk is good for children, it is equivalent to mother's milk. HF cows give more milk. GIR, ongole are tough which can survive at any climate. brazilians created new breed by crossing(copulate) HF with GIR, HF with ongole . newly created cow is tough and give more milk. They have marketed a lot for Gir cow and created a brand. Any desi cow milk is A2 milk and any desi cow urine has medicinal properties (post processing). You should never drink raw urine. Gir cow is the highest milk yielding desi cow followed by red sindhi Shahiwal Rathi Tharparkar Haryana. Even the likes of Gir are ignored saying “less yield”. You have ave to do select breeding pure ongole cattle and make sure you track them down by generations. And also, while choosing a bill for stud service you should consider how much milk yield did it’s mother and grandmother gave. You should always cross with a bull of higher pedigree. in AP, over the period of time, we only concentrated on the Ongole strain which has more power and mass. In one word this is beef strain that we promoted and we suppressed the milf strain with in Ongole breed. More over we have many cross breeds with other “natu” varieties. And no one cared about having a track record among generations. Haryana, Gujarath, Rajasthan lo chala fairy farms unnayi 50+ years experience vi and they are keeping a track of their animals from last 2-3 decades.
