Definition or Meaning: Direct taxes are those which are paid directly to the government by the taxpayer. These taxes are not paid deducted and paid on behalf of the taxpayer. In india it is mainly big cities that contributes direct tax revenues as the high paying jobs are in big cities and almost all the companies in ap and telangana are registered in Hyderabad.
