This resulted in loss of Rs. 12.10 crores. Even after this that firm didn’t use the land for construction of plant. They tried to sell the land to Jindal and Jindal had acquired this plant for around 10,000 crores. But according to the rules the plant can be transferred only after it was constructed. Bypassing this rule the board of APIIC agreed and recommended government to allow for acquisition by Jindal and now the decision is pending with the government.
