Modi destroyed job market?

India added 472,075 employees to the state-run social security fund in February, after adding 604,557 in January, new data on payrolls released on Wednesday showed, giving a guide to how many new jobs are being created in the non-farm sector.

The Employees Provident Fund released provisional figures for six months that showed that 3.11 million workers joined the fund during the September 2017 to February 2018 period, partly due to a pick up in the economy and federal support.

“The data shows there was a good increase in jobs every month in the last six months which will now help fill the missing link for policy-making,” said Soumya Kanti Ghosh, chief economist at the country largest lender, the State Bank of India.

LOL lets assume we add 500k jobs every month, it would come to 6 mil jobs every year that too with market at its peak and dont forget we have 60 per out population under 40.

with this we are going to additional backlog and india needs to produce at least 18 mil jobs to keep growth rate at 7- 8 per which is not likely going to happen with out push for infra.

I dont think EPF is correct way to calculate job creation. For e.g in our company we have not given pf in salary breakup of employees till 2016. But added that in 2016 as we plan to go public. 120 members added to PF but all of them are employed for many years before.

Irrespective of party affiliations or sympathies or caught in extreme partisan passion, don't wish bad or put yourself against own motherland, not smart.....So, if there is good news, default instinct should be - Joy ; Politics will take care of itself on its merit or demerits.......

I hope it never happens again ... they just took it too far ... not the local bjp goons, but modi/shah and bjp central leadership ...

CBN is an optimist ... if something positive comes along, he may entertain. But, as a TDP fan ... I wouldn't trust bjp ...

kukka thoka vankara ani ... modi/shah lanti vallu eppudu straight avvaru ... they'll always be digging graves behind our back.

Remember, we never had these kind of thoughts when people with integrity were in charge of bjp ... you know, like ABV, Advani ... the forgotten ones.

we trusted bjp  ... look where we are ...

You should be questioning bjp leadership (if you're a bjp sympathizer)  ... not us ...
