She had unbelievably powerful, mighty impact and dominating screen presence where ever she went, all this without conceding her feminine charm , grace,and also an unique attractiveness in songs....Very natural, & deceptively strong in acting without appearing as such, a touch of bubbly flair & mellifluous voice gives that perception submerging the imposing talent....Great one.... Even though she paired & had great all time block buster successes with almost all biggies including Anr, Krishna & SB, the most & utterly dominating and endearing mass pair has to be, her combination with Annaay Ntr....No arguments there.... Sr Fan Posted February 25, 2018 Share Posted February 25, 2018 It is just tough & can not be a fair attempt to capsule in one scene, and summarize all the finer art she exhibited, often presented in more subtle shades, taking full advantage of her female virtuosity, to illustrate her glorious career in a line or two here ; Still a try on one of the latent ability, an under spoken skill, an attribute that gets lost in the whole awe of her graceful charm; Case & point of this one shade of innate talent gives a glimpse for viewers is in Nagina. When the villainous snake charmer Amrishpuri, walks in to the big jamindaari house of Rishi K , the wife - the 'icchaadaari' snake in the human form of sridevi, hurriedly walks from the upstair bedroom listening his musical instrument with a deepest gaze possible towards him; Not only she matches Amrishpuri's ferocious unspoken intensity, but also exhibits a flaming fire in eyes along with an impression( to viewer)of breathing snaky ' busa' in elevated uchvaasa & niswaasa.....All this she accomplishes with smooth ease, without disturbing her lovable & dreamy girl image she carries in rest of the movie to the viewers when they walkout from theatres......It is not possible to not offer a kaLaabhivandanam , when one partakes that kind of artful acting exhibition: Excellence....
