చాగంటి కోటేశ్వర రావు గారి గూర్చి 
చాలామందికి తెలియని కొన్ని సంగతులు -

ఇవాళ సినిమా హీరోలలో అగ్రహీరోలకు ఏమాత్రం తీసిపోని పేరుప్రఖ్యాతులు కలిగిన ప్రవచనకారుడు బ్రహ్మశ్రీ చాగంటి కోటేశ్వర రావు గారు. గత పదిహేనేళ్లలో ఆయన సాధించిన ప్రతిష్ట మరే ఇతర ఆధ్యాత్మికవేత్తలకు దక్కలేదు అనేది నిస్సందేహం. అఖండ ప్రజ్ఞావంతుడు, పండితుడు, వేదమూర్తి చాగంటి వారు. ఆయన ఎంతటి ఖ్యాతి గడించారో , కొన్ని వివాదాల్లో కూడా చిక్కుకున్నారు. సునాయాసంగా బయటపడ్డారు.

చాగంటివారు ఫుడ్ కార్పొరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా లో మేనేజర్ గా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. ఆయన భార్య వ్యవసాయశాఖలో ఉన్నతాధికారిణి. ఏ ఛానెల్లో చూసినా చాగంటి వారి ప్రవచనాలు కనిపిస్తుంటాయి. అవి చూస్తే అసలు చాగంటి వారు ఏనాడైనా ఆఫీసుకు వెళ్తారా అనే సందేహం కలుగుతుంది ఎవరికైనా. కానీ చాగంటివారు ఆఫీసుకు ఒక్కరోజు కూడా సెలవు పెట్టరు. ఒక్కసారి కూడా లేట్ పెర్మిషన్స్ తీసుకోరు. ఆయన కేవలం శనివారం, ఆదివారం మాత్రమే ప్రవచనాలు ఇస్తారు. అవి కూడా కాకినాడలోని ఒక దేవాలయంలో ఛానెల్స్ వారు అక్కడికి వెళ్లి రికార్డ్ చేసుకుని ప్రసారం చేస్తుంటారు.

చాగంటి వారికి ఉన్న ప్రతిభాసంపత్తిని సొమ్ము చేసుకోదలచుకుంటే ఈపాటికి ఆయన వందల ఎకరాల భూములు, ఇల్లువాకిళ్ళు, మణిమాణిక్యాలు సంపాదించేవారు. కానీ ప్రవచనాలను ఆయన నయాపైసా పారితోషికం తీసుకోరు. ఎక్కడికైనా బయట నగరాలకు వెళ్లి ప్రవచనాలు ఇవ్వాల్సివస్తే ఆయన తన సొంత డబ్బుతో స్లీపర్ క్లాస్ టికెట్ కొనుక్కుని ప్రయాణం చేస్తారు తప్ప నిర్వాహకుల నుంచి డబ్బు తీసుకోరు. ఆయనకున్నది కేవలం రెండు పడకగదుల చిన్న ఇల్లు. ఇంతవరకు ఆయనకు కారు లేదు. ఆఫీసుకు కూడా మోటార్ సైకిల్ మీద వెళ్తారు. ఎఫ్ సి ఐ డైరెక్టర్ క్రైస్తవుడు. చాగంటి వారు ఆఫీసుకు వెళ్ళగానే ఆయనే స్వయంగా వచ్చి బూట్లు విప్పి చాగంటి వారికి నమస్కారం చేస్తారు. సెలవులను ఉపయోగించుకోమని, కావాలంటే లేట్ అనుమతులు తీసుకోమని చెప్పినా చాగంటివారు ఆ సౌకర్యాలను ఎన్నడూ వినియోగించుకోలేదు.

చాగంటి వారికి ఆరేడేళ్ల వయసులో జనకులు గతించారు. ఆయనకు ఒక అక్క, ఒక చెల్లెలు, ఒక తమ్ముడు ఉన్నారు. తల్లిగారు కస్టపడి నలుగురు పిల్లలను పెంచారు. వారికి ఆస్తిపాస్తులు లేవు. నిరుపేద కుటుంబం. సంసారానికి తాను మాత్రమే పెద్ద దిక్కు అన్న స్పృహ పొటమరించగా చాగంటి వారు అహోరాత్రాలు సరస్వతీ ఉపాసనే లక్ష్యంగా విద్యను అభ్యసించారు. పాఠశాల స్థాయినుంచి ఆయన విద్యాబుద్ధులు వికసించాయి. వేదాగ్రణి ఆయన రచన మీద తిష్టవేసుకుని కూర్చున్నది. ఫలితంగా ఆయన యూనివర్సిటీ స్థాయివరకు గోల్డ్ మెడలిస్టుగా ఎదిగారు.

ఇక ఆయన ఇవాళ చెప్పే ప్రవచనాల వెనుక ఆయనేదో వేదవేదాంగాలు, పురాణాలు, ఉపనిషత్తులు ఆపోసన పట్టారని చాలామంది పొరపడతారు. ఆయన కృషి పెద్దగా లేదు. అవన్నీ ఆయనకు పూర్వజన్మ సుకృతంగా లభించినవి అంటే మనం ఆశ్చర్యపోవాలి. ఇది వారికి భగవంతుడు ఇచ్చిన వరం తప్ప ఈ జన్మకృషి కాదు. అలా అని ఆయన వాటిని చదవలేదని కాదు. ఎంతచదివినా ధారణాశక్తి అనేది ప్రధానం. ఒకసారి శంకరుల సౌందర్యలహరి తిరగేస్తే అది మొత్తం ఆయన మదిలో నిలిచిపోతుంది. ఎక్కడ ఏ పేజీలో ఏమున్నదో చెప్పగలరు. వరప్రసాదితులకు మాత్రమే ఇది సాధ్యం.

ఆయన ఉద్యోగంలో చేరాక తోబుట్టువుల బాధ్యతను స్వీకరించారు. అక్క, చెల్లెలు, తమ్ముడుకు తానె తన సంపాదనతో వివాహాలు చేశారు. కుటుంబం కోసం తన కష్టార్జితాన్ని మొత్తం ధారపోశారు. తనకంటూ ఈరోజు వరకు బ్యాంకు బాలన్స్ లేదంటే నమ్ముతారా?

అప్పుడపుడు కాకినాడలో అయ్యప్ప దేవాలయంలో సాయంత్రం కూర్చుని భక్తులముందు భారతభాగవత ప్రవచనాలు ఇచ్చేవారు. ఎన్నడూ పట్టణం దాటి ఎరుగరు. ఏనాడూ డబ్బు పుచ్చుకునే వారు కారు. ఆయన స్వరలాలిత్యం, ధారణ, విజ్ఞానం, విశదీకరణ భక్తులను ఆకర్షించాయి. అభిమానులు పెరిగారు.

పీవీ నరసింహారావు ప్రధానమంత్రిగా ఉన్న సమయంలో అనుకుంటాను. ఎక్కడో ఒకచోట చాగంటి వారిని కలిశారు. "మీ గురించి ఎంతో విన్నాను. మీ ఆధ్యాత్మిక పరిజ్ఞానం అసాధారణం. మీ ప్రవచనాలు నాకు బాగా నచ్చాయి. ముఖ్యంగా మీ పాండితీప్రకర్ష అమోఘం. ఇప్పుడు నేను మంచి స్థితిలో ఉన్నాను. ఏమైనా అడగండి. చేసిపెడతాను" అన్నారు పీవీ.

చాగంటి వారు నవ్వేసి "మీకూ, నాకు ఇవ్వాల్సింది ఆ పరమాత్మే తప్ప మరెవరూ కారు. మీ సహృదయానికి కృతజ్ఞతలు. నాకేమీ ఆశలు లేవు." అని నమస్కరించి బయటకు వెళ్లిపోయారు.

ఈనాటికి కూడా ఆయనకు ఉన్నది కేవలం రెండు మూడు ధోవతులు, నాలుగు పంచెలు, నాలుగు జతల ఆఫీస్ బట్టలు!!

చాగంటివారిని చూసి ఆయన ఎన్నో ఏళ్ళనుంచి ప్రవచనాలు ఇస్తున్నారని, లక్షలు సంపాదించి ఉంటారని చాలామంది భావిస్తుంటారు. ఆయన బయటప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రవచనాలు ఇవ్వడం వారి అమ్మగారు 1998 లో స్వర్గస్తులు అయ్యాక ప్రారంభించారు. ఎందుకంటే చాగంటి వంశంలో గత ఆరు తరాలుగా ఆ సరస్వతి కటాక్షం ఎవరో ఒక్కరికే వస్తున్నది. ఈ తరంలో ఆ శారదాకృప నలుగురు పిల్లలలో చాగంటి కోటేశ్వర రావు గారిపై ప్రసరించింది. ఆ మాత దయను తృణీకరించలేక తనకు తెలిసిన జ్ఞానాన్ని లోకానికి పంచుతున్నారు చాగంటి వారు.....

he also talked on "Concentration" /Sradda/yekagratha for students, main reasons for not having focus e.t.c..... 

Is his Pravachanam going to change world? No, But defiantly its add to the though process of society towards good.

In my opinion Chaganti takes a role of  self help therapists who are dime a dozen in west . THe difference is  he introduces some babble from hindu mythology to market himself as religious leader - as a lot of people still take puranas etc with respect. In the end the effect of these people in a society is marginal - basically no effect.

Instead of this chaganti is better off doing a social reform of the most socially backward and bigoted religion called Hinduism. That will have much better impact on the society. He never preaches paurahityam should be open to all and takes any practical action, though he himself says you can eat non - veg most annadanams he supervises or recommends focus exclusively veg food.

Basically the biggest problem in andhras is not lack of individual morals but lack of cohesion and solidarity due to divisions introduced by hinduism. I understood solidarity and cohesion only when I left India. 

In addition andhra social profile is different - 90% of andhras belong to sudra or dalit community. They deserve a religion which puts these  people atleast as equal to everyone if not superior. Instead they are stuck with hinduism which gives them fourth place and continously fails to address this but keeps talking about xxxxxx babble of individual morality. 

 

Unless any hindu leader addresses the head on casteism rampant in hindu religious establishment in a practical manner (not speeches) they all seem like manipulative self serving crooks to me.

@lovemystate  I agree your point on castes in Hinduism but do these 1,2,3,4 make any sense now (unless you are an orthodox brahmin)? 
It would have been a valid pt if u have pointed out that today's society is all about money rather than this hierarchy

Are you sure of that ? it sounds like another chaganti "pravachanam" without any basis in reality. In reality these castes are made at birth.  Brahmins always picked and choosed what made them profitable - they were priests when there was not much wealth around and priesthoodl guarenteed easy income - they became landlords when they can - after british came they infested bureacracy.  On the other hand the madiga was brutally kept of out of villages and such career "mobility" was not easy for vast majority of sudras. Have you read manusmriti ?

 I am not interpreting anything just summarizing what is reality as practiced in Hinduism - it is actually  you who is trying to make rosy interpretations of Hinduism so the blame never goes to the religion but always to the followers. This is a popular trick of hindutvawadis. 

Its time we woke up, get some self respect. Every people deserve a moral framework or religion where they are atleast treated equally as any other people.

Bro the "theory" is very important . If you keep looking for evidences that it is not practiced here or not there you will only get confused . I see it in full practice - how many temples have you seen with priests form other castes ? why is that despite so many achievements we andhras could not keep our state. Think through carefully you will see it. Moroever theory is important as well.

Unless any hindu leader addresses the head on casteism rampant in hindu religious establishment in a practical manner (not speeches) they all seem like manipulative self serving crooks to me.

 I am not interpreting anything just summarizing what is reality as practiced in Hinduism - it is actually  you who is trying to make rosy interpretations of Hinduism so the blame never goes to the religion but always to the followers. This is a popular trick of hindutvawadis. 

Its time we woke up, get some self respect. Every people deserve a moral framework or religion where they are atleast treated equally as any other people.

What bhagavatgita taught me is caste is based on work you chose, not based on birth. But what is being followed is different (just like IAS officer liking his child to be public servant jobs, doctor wanting his son to be a doctor). We have examples for kshatriya kids becoming bhrahmins, sudras becoming kshatriyas, brahmins becoming kshatriyas... I know there is a line made by the greedy by interpreting it wrong and there has been fight going to change that and the recent changes in the world making the caste system obsolete. There is a lot apart from caste system in hindutva... Have you got chance to go across them? or just got stuck with caste system?
