There are many Indians that has least knowledge about ground level situations than the NRI's. Though the NRI's are small in size, but their contribution to home land cannot be ignored.

Indian population is around 1.3 billion bro ..  Almost all NRis are educated  .. Cant compare in knowledge aspects.

One who lives knows the actual problems. Anyways Im fine with giving them right to vote provided they are willing to come back to the country.

There are lot of non-citizens live in India who know 'ground realities' ... should they have voting rights because they live and know problems? How do you measure 'willingness to come back to the country'?

Voting is a citizen's constitutional right, not a charity by govt. You cannot decide based on some arbitrary measures.

They can always utilize their right.   Postal ballot doesn't make any sense. They can come down and vote for their beloved country. Its once in 5 yrs.

There are 'lot' many in your so called 'lot' who supports jagan too :) also who funded kodali nani in last elections.

Most of the Indian citizens might be choosing poor leadership due to ignorance but they know what has to be improved and what are the problems surrounding them very well because they live there and they die there.

Why postal ballot doesn't make sense? Its obviously not the cost. Come down to vote? Now I know you're pulling leg :)

Its not about whether absentee ballots support TDP or YCP. Its about what's rightfully yours. There is a reason most major democracies in the world facilitate absentee ballots.

There are many people like me who are in different countries on just work visas and will eventually come back to India and might be under the rule of a govt whom they might  not prefer. So giving all of them their basic right to vote is completely sensible and doesn't need any debate..

On the other hand if they have already taken or applied for the citizenship of a different country then we need not worry about them as they have basically decided to stay back in a different country..
