Result: TDP candidate may win with a majority of 22,036 votes. According to me these are 5 major reasons: 1. Electioneering by CBN for this election is a case study for any politician. He got everything right which is not easy considering complex arithmetics in Nandyal.. 2. Even though YSRCP underestimated sympathy effect, it played crucial role just like in any election. 3. Just like in 2014 elections, urban voters are preferring development over rowdy politics. 4. Jagan’s comments on CBN and Roja’s comments on Akhila further destroyed YSRCP candidate chances. 5. CBN’s decisions favouring muslims and Vysyas further benefitted Bhuma. His decisions to implement huge number of development works for last 2 years played major role. Bhuma should say thanks to CBN, Jagan and Roja for converting a tight election into a cakewalk.. CBN electioneering elaa vuntado….old leaders ki thelusu especially when he is in power. This election result will give complete idea to even youngsters (who did not see his skills in 1980s and 1990s). Small GK: He is the first politician in Andhra Pradesh to conduct a systematic survey before contesting in an election (1978-Chandragiri Assembly) – just to understand the prospects of Congress/Indira Congress/Janatha party (before picking Indira Congress). Conventional wisdom in those days: Congress - 1st & Janatha - 2nd & Indira Congress - 3rd. CBN contested on Indira Congress ticket - rest is history.
