They discussed the industrial scenario in the capital region, with particular reference to the initiatives taken by the government to provide the kind of ecosystem which attracts investments. Mr. Babu said the government had identified land required by industries and was extending incentives to the prospective entrepreneurs. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was monitoring the performance of various departments through the Core Dashboard to ensure that the government officers and employees delivered their best. AnnaGaru Posted October 6, 2016 Share Posted October 6, 2016 Creamline Dairy setting up new plant in Vizag Creamline Dairy products, a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet Ltd, is setting up a new plant in Andhra Pradesh at an outlay of Rs 30 crore, a top company official said today. In December 2015, Godrej Agrovet picked up majority stake in Creamline Dairy products for Rs 150 crore. Creamline Dairy Products Ltd has processing capacity of 10 lakh liters of milk per day. It has presence in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra. "We are setting up a new dairy plant at Vishakapatnam with one lakh litre capacity. The investment is about Rs 30 crore," Creamline Dairy Products Chief Executive Officer P Gopalakrishnan told PTI. "Already we have seven factories, two in Hyderabad, one each in Madanapalli, Vijayawada, Mandya district (Karnataka) and in Nagpur. We also have a powder plant in Ongole (Andhra Pradesh)," he said. Launching the fortified milk Enrich D, under the Jersey brand, which is targeted at health-conscious customers, he said, "We are a strong player in South India. With the new plant we will be able to serve in Odisha too." "The marketing campaign will begin from October 7 onwards," he said, adding the company was in the process of scaling up its business across various categories as the industry was growing 25-30 per cent year-on-year. On the company financials he said, the group revenue was close to Rs 1,000 crore last year and was rising over the industry growth of 25 per cent. Kambalakonda 400 acres park and convention center Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pitched for creating right eco-system to attract industry for the overall growth of Vizag. Talking to reporters here on Monday after reviewing various developmental works related to Vizag with the district officials, Mr Naidu said tenders for the proposed flyover at NAD Kotha Road junction will be called within 15-20 days after putting the two designs, shortlisted by Vuda, in the public domain for feedback. “To attract industry we need to create right eco-system in Vizag for which international schools and universities should come here. Tourist spots should also be developed for which we have taken up various initiatives. International hotel groups should also be invited to Vizag. International tourism festivals should also come to Vizag,” he said. The Chief Minister said in the meeting he had reviewed around four proposals to develop an integrated sports complex with international standards. He said these designs will have 25 lakh sft, 14 lakh sft, 11 lakh sft and 15 lakh sft space respectively of which one would be finalised. He also said that 400 acres of land in Kambalakonda, abutting national highway will be developed into an eco-tourism park without disturbing the ecology. Regarding the proposed International Convention Centre, the Chief Minister said that APIIC had identified its land near Harbour Park area to develop such a facility for which the government will also seek a private land. “The government will request private persons to give their property abutting the APIIC land. A world-class seafront convention centre can be developed in 13 acres, if the private party also gives its land. A hotel, shopping arena can also be developed on that land. We will give alternative land if the private person hands over the land to the government or else we can also make him the partner in the venture in PPP mode in a transparent manner,” Mr Naidu said. He also said that eight new beaches will be developed in the district. Lambasingi and Daallapalli in Vizag Agency will be developed as tourist destinations. Yaswanth526 Posted October 28, 2016 Share Posted October 28, 2016 AP to digitally map industries sector-wise To give a thrust to investments in the state, our government is planning a massive exercise of digitally mapping industries sector-wise so that investors can have a virtual view of the industries in Andhra Pradesh. In a meeting on State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), we have decided that such a classification sector-wise will further be categorized, explaining whether certain industry is private one or a government-run industry. We are also chalking out plans to give a virtual tour of the available lands to investors. We have already linked the Industries Department's Single-Desk Portal to the CM CORE Dashboard which will give me real-time updates of the status of projects. Today, during a review with the State Investment Promotion Board, the Chief Minister reviewed the status of 7 Mega Projects in the State. These mega projects worth total investment of Rs. 2,003 crore will provide 35,700 jobs in the state. To make the process hassle-free in districts, a similar process will be followed where District collectors should grant approvals within 21 days. During the meeting, The Chief Minister congratulated the Industries Department for bringing the state to the top position in Business Reforms Implementation.
