Yaswanth526 Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 Lohia Auto eyes Andhra Pradesh, Telangana for Rs 1-billion facility Lohia Auto manufactures its range of two- and three- wheelers from a Kashipur-based unit in Uttarakhand that has a capacity of 100,000 units a year Lohia Auto Industries, the automobile division of Lohia Global worth Rs 7 billion, is planning to start a facility in southern India. Lohia Auto CEO Ayush Lohia said the company is scouting various sites in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to set up the facility. The company would require around 50-75 acres of land for the project that could attract an investment worth Rs 1 billion, he said. If Lohia decides to set up a facility in Andhra Pradesh, it will join auto brands Kia, Hero, Isuzu and several others. Dozens of auto-component makers are also investing billions of dollars in the Andhra Pradesh. Lohia's new plant would have a capacity of around 100,000 units and can be scaled up to 300,000 units in three years. The entire product portfolio of EVs, motorcycles and gasoline vehicles would be produced in the facility for both domestic and foreign markets. "We are open to all avenues, but nothing has been finalised yet in terms of funding," said Lohia. The new plant would not only help the company cut logistics costs but also bring it closer to the southern market, which contributes around 40 per cent of its sales. It would also help the company cater to foreign markets, mainly the African region. The plant is likely to be ready by 2020-21. The new plant would roll out both electric and diesel products. Lohia Auto manufactures a range of two- and three- wheelers from its Kashipur-based unit in Uttarakhand that has a capacity of 100,000 units a year. The vehicle manufacturer exports the gasoline-run three-wheeler Humsafar DLXP to Nepal and Bangladesh. While the company is bullish about electric vehicles, Lohia said challenges, including cost, infrastructure and awareness, needed to be addressed. Lohia plans to roll out vehicles on alternate technologies including CNG, gasoline and others. "Lots of players have come in and vanished in the electric vehicle space. We don't want to be a fly-by-night operator, so we will continue to give thrust to EVs," said Lohia, who is targetting around Rs 5 billion in revenues in the next two years. sonykongara Posted June 25, 2018 Share Posted June 25, 2018 ఈ ఏడాదే వైజాగ్‌ ప్లాంట్‌25-06-2018 01:07:51 రూ.1,785 కోట్ల పెట్టుబడి : ఏషియన్‌ పెయింట్స్‌ ముంబై : వాటర్‌ బేస్డ్‌ పెయింట్ల ఉత్పత్తి కోసం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోని విశాఖపట్నం దగ్గర ఏర్పాటు చేసే ప్లాంట్‌ ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలోనే అందు బాటులోకి రానుందని ఏషియన్‌ పెయింట్స్‌ వెల్లడించింది. రూ.1,785 కోట్ల పెట్టుబడితో ఏటా ఐదు లక్షల కిలో లీటర్ల వార్షిక ఉత్పత్తి సామ్ధ్యంతో కంపెనీ ఈ ప్లాంట్‌ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తోంది. రూ.2,300 కోట్ల పెట్టుబడితో మైసూర్‌ దగ్గర ఆరు లక్షల కిలో లీటర్ల వార్షిక ఉత్పత్తి సామర్ధ్యంతో ఏర్పాటు చేసే యూనిట్‌ కూడా ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరమే పూర్తవుతుందని కంపెనీ మేనేజింగ్‌ డైరెక్టర్‌, సిఇఒ కెబిఎస్‌ ఆనంద్‌ వెల్లడించారు. అయితే తొలి దశలో ఈ రెండు ప్లాంట్ల వార్షిక ఉత్పత్తి సామర్ధ్యం మూడు లక్షల కిలో లీటర్లు మాత్రమే. కరెన్సీ మారకం సమస్యలతో పాటు ఆర్థిక పరిస్థితులు ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో లేకపోవటంతో గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో విదేశీ మార్కెట్లు పెద్దగా కలిసి రాలేదని కంపెనీ పేర్కొంది. ముఖ్యంగా ఈ రెండు సమస్యలతో ఈజిప్టు, ఇథోపియా, శ్రీలంక దేశాల్లో సమస్యలు ఎదుర్కొన్నట్టు తెలిపింది. పెద్దగా అమ్మకాలు లేకపోవడంతో కరేబియన్‌ దేశాల మార్కెట్‌ నుంచి కంపెనీ పూర్తిగా తప్పుకుంది. The UNESCO delegation on July 4 entered into an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board for the establishment of a gaming digital learning hub. For the installation of the same, the agency has asked Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu to allocate a land area of around 100 acres. The hub is being seen as potential medium for creating around 50,000 jobs in 10 years. UNESCO delegates informed the Chief Minister that Edutech gaming will be the best source of income in future and IT multinationals like UBSoft, Samsung, Microsoft etc are ready to establish their centres in Vizag. Chandrababu Naidu has a vision of developing Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge and innovation valley since the state is under a development stage, building digital classes, crematoriums and Anganwadi centres in various districts. Yaswanth526 Posted July 5, 2018 Share Posted July 5, 2018 Andhra Pradesh to fast-track industrial approvals HYDERABAD: Industrial approvals in Andhra Pradesh will soon be sped up as the Single Desk Bureau (SDB) system of the state is being fine-tuned further, an official press release said on Wednesday. “In order to enhance the performance of Single Desk Portal (SDP), the department of industries is fine-tuning the ways and means of various departments," Commissioner of Industries Siddharth Jain announced on Wednesday. Jain said the change of land use service was brought under SDP with service level agreement (the time period in which the service needs to be delivered) of 120 days in municipal areas and urban development Authorities. This SLA will be implemented from 15 July. Prior to this decision the change of land use used to take more than six months and this hampered the agility of the system that approved the industrial establishments,” the release said. Jain said that when all permissions were given, still the entrepreneur finds the industry viable only when the electricity connection has been released. “To ease their worries about electricity connection, ‘readiness of party’ has been incorporated in the process flow of the APSPDCL, APEPDCL application through SDP. According to that, the discoms starting from July 15 not only approve, but also set to release the electricity connection in 15 days from the date of making payment for the connection,” it said. Jain also announced that renewals by fire department to be brought under SDP will go live shortly. Additionally, the inspections by fire departments also will be brought under central inspection system soon. In addition to urban Modies, the panchayat raj services also are being fine tuned under SDP as all Panchayat Raj NOCs/permissions will soon be brought on SDP. “Due to various initiatives and performance improvement measures taken up by Single Desk Bureau, the performance of Single Desk Portal too has been enhanced, as 13 out of 15 departments had hit 100% mark in SDP performance,” the release said.
